Shape Run 2017 – Our 3rd 1.8KM Family Run with Skechers!

By |August 19th, 2017|

The Shape Run has somewhat become special and iconic for us as a family. We have been participating every year since my Jerome is still a baby in a stroller. He is now a 4.5yo and finishes the run by himself with gusto. How far we have come!

This year is our 3rd 1.8km Family Run. Read about our previous 1.8km family runs in 2016 & 2015. The boys were super excited once they knew about it. They even know the drill when we picked up our Skechers shoes from the store and has been really excited about getting medals for their race. I know, strange motivation they have there (must be my ex-athlete genes).  They have also grown to be quite different individuals now, so I wasn’t too surprised that they each picked a pair of shoes of their own liking.

The chill one vs the cheeky […]

Jerry & the Tooth Fairy

By |May 11th, 2017|

9 May 2017, Tuesday, 10.30pm. Jerry lost his first tooth ever. It has been shaky for weeks and his new teeth has been peeking beside the baby tooth for a while. We were still wondering if he was going to have his birthday pictures toothless some weeks back. I was secretly glad that the tooth didn’t come off before his birthday although the tooth obviously shifted its position and looked totally out of place.

The kid has been complaining about chewing certain stuff that is too tough and have rejected eating some foods because it hurts. Last night, the kid showed me his super wobbly tooth.. and I could tell that it’s probably gonna drop off any moment with one of the root showing. So, in my usual style, I snapped some pictures of it!

Thank goodness I did, because less than an hr later, the tooth came off. While Jerry […]

It’s the week of school holidays! Still not sure where to bring your kids to or haven’t started planning? I would totally recommend Disney On Ice! The Wonderful World of Disney on Ice in here in Singapore and runs from 15 – 19 March 2017 for 10 performances at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Don’t miss it!

My boys caught their first Disney On Ice performance this week! They have been so excited and have been asking me to bring them to the show after watching the advertisements on TV. Big thanks to the team at Disney on Ice, the boys are now able to make their wishes come true!

They have been so excited about it and kept asking me every day if that day was the day we were going to […]

Shape Run 2016 X Skechers – 1.8KM Family Run done!

By |August 1st, 2016|

Hello! It’s been a while since I last sat myself down to blog. Life’s been busy – travels, work, and I recently picked up brush calligraphy and the piano! I hope to blog about all that soon, so do check back ok? I am still living life to the fullest and clocking in all sorts of experiences and it’s been pretty awesome so far.

Last week, the Choo Family was in the Shape Run! The kids were all psyched with the race ever since they received their new Skechers shoes some weeks back from the Skechers store in Ngee Ann City

The kids rocking in their new Skechers kicks which came with very cool flashing lights that were […]

Checking out Arts in Your Neighbourhood!

By |November 13th, 2015|

So, we checked out one of the first Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN) programmes over the past weekend, and the boys had fun!

Have you heard about Arts in Your Neighbourhood (AYN)  programme? I have! I have always wanted to check it out in the past (yeah, there’s is an arty farty side to me too) but I never found time. I finally did!

If you haven’t, Arts in Your Neighbourhood programme is an enriching arts experience at one’s doorstep. It’s basically a series of interactive arts programmes by established artists and art groups, held at various locations across the island, mostly in the heartlands. Held during the November period where kids are having school holidays, it is a great way to feed your child’s creativity and enrich their development. It is also a great way for the family to bond and expose the kids to more arts. And the good […]

The Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum we go!

By |August 28th, 2015|

The National Day long weekend was such a treat, and I can’t believe we are already at month end! We visited The Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum located at The Chinese Garden over the long weekend. Quite an eye-opener I must say! If you are looking for some activity to do this weekend, maybe this could be it!

I had initially wanted to bring the boys to Kusu Island, but dropped the idea when I realised there isn’t a direct ferry to the island. So, we went to The Chinese Garden instead because I have read about the tortoise museum and have always wanted to visit.

I think I haven’t visited The Chinese Garden since I was a kid! Love how the feel of the place somewhat transports us to another country. It was a really hot morning, but the boys were all running around, happy to explore and check out […]

The Three Billy Goats Gruff by The Little Company (TLC).

By |April 12th, 2015|

We recently caught The Three Billy Goats Gruff by TLC and the family loves it! Jerry has been asking me to bring him back to the theatres ever since we watched Goldilocks and the Three Bears. He loved the latter so much, he asked to go back the very next day after we watched it.

The moment we stepped into Singapore Repertory Theatre, Jerry turned to ask if we are back to watch Goldilocks again. My bad. I have been so, so sick lately, I didn’t have the time nor energy to prep the kids on the musical that we are catching. I have been either in comatose state or heavily drugged and spent 4 days away from work. I was literally dragging myself out of the house that day because I would have hated it if the kids missed it because of me.

The story revolves […]

Easter Eggstravaganza at Universal Studios Singapore

By |April 2nd, 2015|

We brought the kids & my nephew to hunt for some easter eggs over the school holidays weekend. Easter is one of those holidays that I really look forward to every year because I really, really like chocolate eggs and they are only available during this time of the year! Now that Universal Studios is having Easter Eggstravaganza (nice pun), it is a perfect time to visit Resort World Sentosa and be eggcited over eggs! Sorry, couldn’t resist!

So what’s the eggciting easter about, you’ll ask? Loads of eggs to hunt down, loads of rabbit ears to pull at (I’m joking at the pulling part) and special shows to catch. Even the entrance of the USS has been brightened up with loads of flowers and colourful eggs. The eggs are aplenty, and hidden at almost every corner of the park! Quite a cheery sight!

Eggs, Eggs, […]

Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition, Singapore

By |February 17th, 2015|

Jerry & Jerome are both huge fans of Transformers. Not a day goes by in the household without them holding or playing Transformers. They play with it every single day. Heck. Make that several many times a day and they travel with it even, grabbing one or two of them each time we step out of the house.

So, when I heard about the Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition at Science Centre Singapore, it’s a no brainer that I have got to check it out.

In case you aren’t aware… The Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition celebrates 30 years of evolution of the world famous Transformers series and presents a snapshot of its history as well as scenes and robots of the Transformers movie. The exhibition is making its third and final stop in Asia […]
