some thoughts..

what am i?

a free thinker is one who has rejected authority and dogma, especially in religious thinking, in favor of rational inquiry and speculation.

a atheist is one who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods.

a christian is one who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

a buddhist is one who follows the teachings of Buddha.

a taoist is one who relates to the philosophical system developed by Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu advocating a simple honest life.

a catholic is one who relates to or supports Catholicism; “the Catholic Church

a muslim is a believer or follower of Islam.

a hindu is a person who adheres to Hinduism.

what is the term that describes someone like me? i believe in having a greater being in this world, but do not stick to a specific religion. or rather i should say, i feel that all the gods somehow is the same thing ultimately and do not actively take after a single religion.

i used to think i am a free thinker.. but im not. cos there are some things that cannot be explained in rational terms, or scientifically.

can someone tell me the answer? 😐

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.

i used to debate this with one of my friend.. and i got exactly the same sentimental with you… a believer in all and yet none… till i had a strange encounter someday with this old man that share with me that every religions is good as long as they teach you the right beliefs and teaching..

Ha ha i used to have a silly thought that there is ONLY ONE GOD which is the ultimate, and to spread his teaching he used different reglions to teach to the differnt “target” audience – a marketing perspective of how God market himself through the various channels – religions, due to history, norms and culture of differnet countries…thus not one “marketing strategy” can reach the whole global nation :p..sound confusing right ha ha my personal thought…

at the end of the day.. it’s you that choose to believe what you seen, heard and encounter everyday :)i called myself a god believer!!! and learn the selective teaching of all religions 🙂

i am exactly like you, in terms of thinking.

i think every religion is good as well.. and they somehow teach you certain beliefs that ultimately leads you to a good person.

there are many things that i cannot find an explanation in many religions, so i believe in each to a certain extent. 🙂
