cambodia trip

finally! the Cambodia trip pictures are sorted, the collages are done and i have a tale to tell.

so.. what’s cambodia like? some of my colleagues thought i have gone columbia instead! it’s quite a weird choice it seems, at least among my peers. well, according to cherie’s dictionary of travel… every where is good so long the trip is paid for and if the location is somewhere i have never been.

yes. my aunt decided to be adventurous and decided to go. i tagged along cos the inital plan was supposed to be 2 of us going china. so it turns out, mum tagged along too.

my impression of the place? scenic, quiet to a certain extent, historical (not that i can appreciate!!), interesting, not exactly poor (maybe cos its a tourist spot that i went), and life seems relatively simple.

some of the stuff that i found unforgettable… eating of chick-filled eggs. ok, that’s not the right word but u know, eggs that are about to become chicks. what is it called? eeeuuwwwwwww! and no! i didnt eat at all. the sight of people eating the black lump of stuff makes me gag!

i tried looking around for fried insects and didnt see any. my uncle tried some though. argh. i want to, but i cant find it!

climbing and walking is definitely a must-must! i climbed like a monkey up the steep, worn out stairs to the top of the temples. walked loads and weather was rather erratic. rain and shine.. i am slightly more tan now. no burn thankfully.

it was a short 2 days trip. i shant elaborate till i get more inspirations. my brain’s dead for now. it’s sleep time!

i know it’s quite a bit of pictures.. but, it’s not even 1/10 of what i took!

and oh, there’s one REALLY sad thing tho. i didn’t have my usual uncles who i usually travel with to take pictures for me.. so my pictures for this trip is really really bad. 🙁

my aunt doesnt really care about the angle when she shoot. so long u are on the lcd screen, Snap! so most of my pictures are self taken..

oh! oh! i suddenly remembered what i wanted to say! u know.. in cambodia.. u can hardly see anyone that’s fat. the people are skinny, the dogs are skinny, the cows are skinny.. the chickens are skinny.. the only fats you would see, are those on the tourists! 🙂

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no? This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone). I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy. I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!). Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi! Love, Cherie Lim Find me on Instagram.
