Browtisan Eyebrow Embroidery Touch Up Experience
About 2 months ago, I took a leap of faith and went for eyebrow embroidery. Very honestly, while I was very sure that I wanted to do something with my uneven brows, I wasn’t sure if I could survive the next few years living my decision. Although eyebrow embroidery is semi-permanent, I was still scared. Scared because I have never done anything to my face before and I don’t really know what suits me best.
Thankfully, I got mine done at Browtisan and Coco, who is chief creative officer at Browtisan is one of the best in the industry. I am loving my brows everyday, and it saves me so much time!
So, 1 month after the eyebrow embroidery, I was supposed to head back for a touch-up. The touch-up is complimentary and part of the eyebrow embroidery package. In fact, there are 2 touch-ups included, the other at the 6 months mark.
Here’s my lovely brows before I did any touch up. This was at slightly over 1 month mark, taken on the day I was due for touch up. Please ignore my camera, I happened to be holding it so I used it to post. 😛
They are the best thing ever. Looked so natural, and I don’t even need to do anything to them. Saved me loads of time every morning ever since I had them done. I have had loads of rave reviews from friends and colleagues, so if you are considering, I recommend that you ask for Coco if you can afford it. She’s slightly more expensive since she is the chief creative officer of Browtisan, but it is going to be worth it.
The process is exactly the same, so I am not going to bore you with the details. But I asked Coco, why the need to touch up at the 1 month mark?
So, Coco said… When customers come in for the first time, they are not familiar with how the skin might absorb the color. Everyone’s skin absorbency rate is different and its not something that they would be able to find out on the spot. So when she first embroider someone’s eyebrows, she would only use 70-80% of the color to draw. That way, she can make adjustments 1 month later and ensure the prettiest of brows. If she were to use 100% of the colour that she envisioned it to be and the person’s skin is super color absorbing, the eyebrows will turn out too dark and it would be harder to salvage.
Also, touching up 1 month later will also ensure that the brows last a lot longer! Kinda cool if you ask me. All these knowledge involving eyebrows embroidery.
Regardless, touch up or no, I am loving my brows already! The time spent on touch-up is also much lesser and I was done in under an hr. So here’s post touch-up, minutes after I left.
Same thing still – no redness, no down time and I walk out of the shop looking pretty and ready to shop. Can you so tell I went shopping after? The brows did also darken over the next few days as expected and I did 5 days of brow aftercare and prevent them from touching water.
Starting from Day 5, there is slight peeling of the brows, but they went away very quickly and barely noticeable! In a random note, I really love the eyelashes. Heh.
Yup, so my brows are looking great, and maintaining them is a no-brainer. There is nothing to be done after 5 days of keeping it out of water and applying a serum. Easy peasy. The next touch-up is 5 months later, and meanwhile, I am just going to enjoy the ease of having these brows. Eyebrow pencils, begone!
