Leia’s Birth Story…
After almost 2 months, I finally found little pockets of time to work on a post about Leia’s birth story. Leia’s birth probably caught A LOT of you by surprise… I didn’t tell people about it (even close friends or relatives), and those people who knew were those that see me frequently. Even so, when enquired, I usually tell them I am fat (till they finally figure it’s not). And then I go “Tadah!” with this IG post on 24 Feb, 2018, about 5hrs right after I have given birth. What that also means is that this pregnancy is not documented, at least not on the social media front. WHY?…

5.5.15 – The day you turned 4.
Dear Jerry, 4 years ago, you popped into our lives on this very day. I still remember how big I was, like a big fat whale at 41 weeks, and 0 dilation. I barely could walk from the pain in the pelvic region, with you pressing down on my bone and I toss & turned in bed everyday till the day the doctor said he needs you to come out, pronto. That very night, I was admitted into the hospital, and still bothered to blog about it real time. It was probably the last time I ever blogged about something in real time. I so desperately wanted to deliver you…

Jerome turns 2 years old!
I know I haven’t been blogging much. It’s been somewhat a crazy last week and I have been making subtle changes to my lifestyle as well. Don’t you always feel that a year gives you a brand new re-start and serves more motivation to make the changes that you have always been thinking about? I’m doing just that and I will share more in a separate post, but meanwhile, this post is all about my kid! Jerome turned 2 years old last friday. We didn’t have a big birthday do, but just small celebrations with family. The first was the Sunday before his actual birthday. There was no fancy cake even, just…

Jerome’s 1st swim!
As 2nd time parents, I honestly think that we are tardy in some ways in exposing Jerome. Jerry had his first swim at 5 months, but Jerome only went for his first swim last month when he is 17 months old. While there are many factors that lead to this, the key reason is… having one kid is so much easier to manage, especially with 2 pairs of watchful eyes. Here’s the truth. We weren’t as confident in bringing 2 kids to the pool by ourselves especially when they both are so young, and basically not easy to handle (i.e. super active). And then, the kids just keep falling sick one…

Jerry turns 3 years old!
Happy 3rd Birthday, Jerry! Mummy & Daddy loves you loads! p.s. Just be more obedient and listen to us ok? My precious first born, Jerry turned 3 years old earlier this week on 5 May. We held 3 separate celebrations for him, one for my relatives, one for der’s relatives and one at the school. It was a weekend of madness and I am still trying to recover from all. The blog has taken a back seat this week because I have been so tired out from fighting sleep issues with Jerry in recent weeks, and he has been up way past midnight.. at 1am? 1.30am? 2.30am? He is at the…

Things Jerry says #4 – the power of negotiation.
Things Jerry says: The negotiator I can’t emphasise how much this kid amaze me all the time. I know that I said it many many times, but I guess I still need to say it mainly because I am so proud of him (or annoyed!) and it is a moment worth recording down. And mummies are always proud of their little one, however small an achievement because to us, they mean the world. A couple of days ago, this kid isn’t on the best of behaviour. He refused to comply to any instruction and we were rushing out of the house for a party. I needed him to sit in…

My little Jerome turns ONE! Happy 1st Birthday!
Exactly a year ago on this very day, i had the most bizarre gynae appointment ever, which landed me in the hospital for child delivery WITHOUT the husband by my side. Unthinkable right? and fast forward today, my little chubby baby koala turns ONE! Has it really been *ONE* year already? It went by in a whizz and i can’t say i remember much of it. Having 2 kids really takes up a lot more of your time, and i have been slacking on his development milestones. Each month, i meant to write, and ended up postponing the post, or having a half written post in my draft folder and…

jerome turns 8 months.
slightly over a week ago, jerome turned 8 months old. this little bundle of sunshine of mine cheers me up everyday. at 8 months, he has 8 fully grown teeth. i have no clue why my kids’ teeth sprouts so fast! I thought jerry’s progress was fast when he was a baby, but jerome’s progress is so much faster. he stands unassisted now for a couple of seconds before he plonks his fat butt down again. he walks like a champ assisted and can get around the house pretty fast when he crawls or walks about. he’s always wary about falling down so he clutches one hand onto somewhere all…

Jerome is 7 months (and a couple of days more).
Im forever behind time when i blog about my kids’ milestone. that’s life of a working mum with 2 kids – things don’t exactly go the way you plan it! at 7 months, my little munchkin amazes me all the time. some days, he looks like he has lost some weight.. other days, he looks like a big blob of fats and you can’t even see his neck. heh. eating some tissues here he’s been up to some serious development the past month, or haven’t i been looking? he can hoist himself up easily now before i could even count 2, and he kinda aced his motor skills. he moves…

jerome turns 6 months.
my chubby baby turned 6 months old a couple of days back, just like that. has it really been half a year? and just for the stats, he is currently at 8.05kg, way heavier as compared to jerry at the same age and I really love all his chubby fats. feels like a squishy bear all the time when I hug him. his head circumference is 42cm and height is 66cm tall. this baby is a loud and noisy one. he is constantly trying to blabber something or shrieks and screams when he is unhappy. he revels in human touch. if you leave him alone, he screams and demand…
