Things Jerry Says #23 – He is not a real policemen.
It has been a really busy week for me at work, and I have been making myself turn up at the office much earlier. Work has been fun and I kinda like that I am doing a happy-busy these days. So glad the week is almost coming to an end soon! Did anyone realize that the year is coming to an end soon too? We are down to the last 2 months of the year! Here’s a short post for the week, sorry for the silence!
I was in a mall, going to pick up some groceries and had Jerry with me. He was trying to play punk and run around, zipping through the crowd as usual since he isn’t strapped to his stroller. We have been using the stroller a lot lesser with him these days, but honestly, I would prefer him in the stroller anytime because he runs so fast and gets out of my sight before I can shout “Jerry!”.
We happened to walk past this infamous life-sized poster of a policeman that has been sprouting all over our tiny island and I wanted to use it to scare Jerry a little since he was getting on my nerves.
Mummy (M): Jerry, STOP running around. Look there! If you keep running around, the policeman will catch you.
Jerry (J): [looks at the poster] that one?
M: Yes, that one.
J: Mummy, that policeman is not real lah…
M: Says who? You better stop running and hold my hand before he catches you.
J: [points to the poster] that policeman….
J: [runs towards the policeman to touch it while looking at me] The policeman is made of PAPER!!!!!!!! Hahahaha.
M: -_-”
Does anyone agree with me that parenting is super hard these days? I grow up remembering that kids of Jerry’s age are mostly gullible but obviously I don’t have a gullible kid on my hands. He is too smart for me sometimes.
Read more incidents of him outsmarting us here and here or otherwise, read the entire series of Things Jerry Says if you have the time! Wishing you a happy, great weekend! I’m looking forward to loads of fun!
