Drypers DryPantz – Having more time for the things that matters.
**sponsored post for Drypers DryPantz** when i started jerry on childcare a little more than 2 months back, i checked with the teachers about toilet training and was told to put Jerry on training pants instead of regular diapers. so it was really timely when Drypers very generously offered me some DryPantz to try. it’s been a while that i thought about toilet training the kid and high time i start since he is able to pee on demand and tells me he has pooped right after the deed. I just gotta train him to tell me before he does! and in school, the teachers teaches him how to pull…

jerome turns 6 months.
my chubby baby turned 6 months old a couple of days back, just like that. has it really been half a year? and just for the stats, he is currently at 8.05kg, way heavier as compared to jerry at the same age and I really love all his chubby fats. feels like a squishy bear all the time when I hug him. his head circumference is 42cm and height is 66cm tall. this baby is a loud and noisy one. he is constantly trying to blabber something or shrieks and screams when he is unhappy. he revels in human touch. if you leave him alone, he screams and demand…

Sights at the Darling Harbour, Sydney.
on the second day of the trip, we planned to visit the darling harbour to soak in the sights, and walk to the sydney fish market for lunch. but this post is just gonna be loads and loads of pictures of darling harbour. simply because i find the place so alluring and mesmerizing, i could just sit around a whole day and people watch. sharing all the pictures that i took! warning – it’s A LOT OF PICTURES! to get to darling harbour, just take the train to town hall and its a 10min walk from the station. that’s the easiest for me. I wasn’t familiar with the bus numbers…

Dinner at Ippudo Sydney & interesting sydney’s sights
I'm usually not a city person, but i do love having the opportunity to visit cities that have interesting sights and historical looking buildings. after all, they are not a common sight in singapore, right? Here's some interesting sights that i saw while making our way from circular quay to QVB (chain mall) to have our dinner on the first evening of our sydney's trip. a street (angel place) filled with loads of empty bird cages. it's an installation titled, "Forgotten songs" that features a bunch of empty bird cages and recorded bird sounds to remind the city dwellers of the abundant birdlife that was in the area prior to…

Circular Quay, Sydney Harbour Bridge & Sydney Opera House
Post lunch on the first day of our trip, we took a slow stroll around the rocks & circular quay area, just to soak in the sights. The entire place is so lovely and i totally love the magnificent, clear blue sky that day. peeking on the harbour bridge from the rocks area. i shot andy while he attempts to capture the bridge on my lens. the opera house. selfie of the 3 of us. but totally over exposed shot that the opera house went missing. a nice shot of us three with the bridge. watching the people moving along slowly up in the bridge doing the bridge climb like…

The Big B Event
The Big B Event. hello. I am on vacation right now, in sydney without the kids and having a whale of a time (it’s whale watching season here! pun fully intended!). and i am super thankful for my travel companions that are so understanding and thoughtful while travelling with me, a breastfeeding mum. here’s what i have been up to everyday while on vacation. expressing, storing and freezing up my ebm (expressed breast milk). i unabashedly cleared out a level of my guy friend’s freezer in his home to freeze my breast milk so that they dont go to waste. and i have grand plans of bringing them back to…

Visiting Sydney – Our arrival!
We arrived in sydney this morning! We are pretty hyped about visiting Sydney but we both were pretty much like zombies upon arrival because instead of sleeping on the flight (which in itself was tough), we watched movies, had supper, chatted non stop and i read on my kindle (ah, bliss!) and ended up catching only 1.5hrs of sleep. or less. when we finally landed, we took a while to orientate ourselves, get our data sim (Optus offers unlimited data, voice calls and smses for just $2/day), and hopped onto a train to andy’s apartment. that’s us waiting for a train in central station, by the way. the trains are very…

Spooky Jerome!
Good morning! If you aren’t fully awake yet, i hope the spooky picture of jerome caught your attention. I took this in a dark room with UV light the other day while at river safari and thought it looked pretty cool. and while you are reading this, i’m probably somewhere in sydney city, having a nice, uninterrupted lunch with my friends (sans kids!!!!) since aust is 2hrs ahead. I’ll probably try to blog about the trip on the go since i’ll be staying with my friend in his apartment. but just in case i’m way too tired to do so, i pre-scheduled a couple of posts here and there, just…

Vacation to Sydney!
photo creditI am finally going for my vacation to Sydney! the thing i hate most about vacations, is the wait. the wait for the date where you set off for the trip! and today, i will jet off to sydney! like finally! (i booked the tickets in march!) and yup, i didn’t really research intensively but i’ll be doing all the city sights – harbour bridge, the rocks, the maritime museum, aquarium, the wild life zoo and maybe the taronga zoo. I definitely want to attempt scaling the harbour bridge (it’s a dream of mine, or make that the bucket list) and check out cool places like surry hills, the…
