at 25 months (2 year 1 month old), it happened.
jerry fighting in school/childcare. I expected this would happen someday because boys would be boys right? but at this young tender age? *in disbelief* I dont quite believe that jerry would bite anyone unprovoked. and someone 3 years his senior? he must be freaking upset or angry. he has a huge scratch across his nose and it looks pretty deep. I hope there wont be scars. I am sooooo gonna go to the school tomorrow morning to find out what happened. ******* p.s. yes. I call my husband “my angel”. you can laugh. im perfectly cool with you laughing at me. Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

a pleasant surprise from jerry.
I havent read a book to jerry for ages. my bad. other priorities got the better of me. i tried to show him a new book tonight but he went to his book shelf and pulled this out instead. yes. he likes to choose his own books and this is, afterall one of the newer books in his little library. so here’s my surprise. I started pointing out the animals one by one and asked.. “what is this?” across each item on the book cover. and he went… dog!horse! cat!house!bird!(when I point to the hive) bee!spider! sun!flower! and im stumped. I definitely had not expected that he’ll…

[GIVEAWAY] a pampering sesh at origins nail spa
3 weeks back at work post maternity leave, i could feel the strain. juggling 2 kids and work aint no easy task and i have been increasingly feeling dog-tired on a daily basis. there are days where i K.O. before i have my dinner (usually together with Jerry when i put him into bed). and just like that. 3 weeks is gone. GOSH. i’ll admit it. it’s mentally draining and hard work keeping to the schedules daily, packing off jerry to child care, full-time work, struggling to produce milk and bagging in enough sleep and doing night feeds for jerome amidst a thousand and one things on my mind. my…

and jerome flips!
some time earlier this week, my mum reported that jerome started flipping when I came home from work one day! he has been on the verge of flipping for a while and that morning, when my mum was skyping my aunt.. he flipped. and my aunt was pretty estactic to have seen it first-hand (via webcam) and witnessed this major milestone of his. I felt a little left out and bummed that I didnt witnessed it myself cos I was at work. then again, its something that all full time working mums would have to grapple with so im definitely not alone. looking forward to his next milestone!…

fitting in, at childcare for Jerry.
its been a month since jerry started childcare. I went to peep at him on Friday and was happy to see that he is finally blending/fitting in at childcare. from the kid that is always away from the pack and in his own world, he is now able to sit with his classmates and join in the class activities. I am soooo proud of him! it might have been a mighty small achievement but it means so much to me. to us, as the parents. and to him, as a child adapting into a new environment. as I was leaving the premises, I bumped into his class teacher…

updates on the house.
its been a month since my last update! the house have been renovated progressively and we have been checking it every week. the husband some times check it consecutively a few days when he happens to be in the area! it has changed quite significantly since! the first thing that was done were the aircon trunking, eletrical stuff, false ceiling, then the floors and the grills. the entire house is also given a white wash of paint. the kitchen cabinet are next! and the slowly, the wardrobes and all the rest of the carpentry works. everything is still work in progress, but all carpentry works are done. there’s just…

in panic mode – over milk.
meet my milk monster. make that a breastmilk monster. I would never have thought I would land myself in this situation today – having not enough breastmilk to feed my child. never ever. especially since I had soooo much excess supply barely 4 months after I had jerry previously. but things happen and yeah. I am now in that situation. my mum called me today in the evening, just when I am on my way home.. urgently asking if im coming home soon. because baby has no milk to drink. easy peasy right? there’s always formula milk to save the day. thing is, my mum said…

a wedding over the weekend.
I attend a wedding over the weekend, of james and angel. it was a lovely wedding with touching speeches and all. and it was special to me in my own little way. I was back in the same ballroom that I wedded in 3 years ago. as i sit in the ballroom, the memories of my own wedding flashed in my mind and I couldnt help it but smile at those memories. It was so much fun. ok. I shouldnt really steal the story. its their wedding after all. I didnt manage to take much pictures of the couple. and whatever I had was a little fuzzy. I was…

a visit to pasar bella at grand stand (turf city)
last week, we finally found some time to check out pasar bella. the husb is pretty appalled when I told him we are going to check out a market and was in fact, very reluctant to go according to my suggestion. haha! the flight of stairs kinda put der off. he had to carry the stroller with a sleeping jerry in it up those stairs. he even told me to go ahead and he’ll sit at the bus stop to wait for me. haha! my lazy man. (we eventually realised that we could enter from the sides through the mall area that doesnt require climbing any steps). and can I…
