• Our Deepavali Holiday.

How did you spend the mid week pubic holiday last week? We had wanted to bring the boys for some cycling but the clouds were grey and it started pouring even before we reached the park after our lunch. It rained pretty bad and we knew that there is no way we could wait out the rain. As we were driving on the ECP, the next destination that came to my mind was Changi Airport! • mywaterway @ punggol on father’s day

sorry for the silence. its contributed by a couple of reasons. first of which is me feeling under the weather and I have been extremely tired of late from solo parenting last week and work and trying to recuperate. and the haze situation isn’t helping. my nose and airway have been irritated by the air and I did a 8-in-a-chain mega sneeze last night followed by burning nostrils,  I knew I had to hide under the covers and just sleep. so ya, forgive me will ya?   back to father’s day. AND 50% of the menu is vegetarian? that sounds like planting roses on mars – impossible. but it is impossibly true. I was invited some weeks back to a food tasting session with ONAKA, short form for Optimum Nutrition And Kitchen Arts. I’m guessing the ‘kitchen’ bit stems from ONAKA’s history where it first started out as a cooking school, but that’s not the important part. the important part is the food. The restaurant serves “Conscious…

it's been a while that I did something for myself. take on classes, learn a new skill etc. the last time I attended a class of some sort for myself was learning the Japanese language and that was many many years back, way before I got married. with smb turning 1, I managed to join a bake class and now, an ART CLASS with all the celebratory activities! thank you smb! there are loads more worth celebrating for, I reckon. heh. and so, I spent 2 hours today away from the kids (my mum helped babysit one, and the husband the other while running errands) and tried to discover my…
