BBQ time!
went bbq at jen’s place yesterday. haven’t been catching up with jen as much as i would love to. hate our jobs for being so demanding/time consuming. anyway, i was the only punctual one! jen’s specialty – jap rice ‘balls’ and my favourite type of corn! check out the giant prawns! they were sooooo huge! the boy peering over the food. and nope, all he did was sit around and waited for the food! i got too busy bbq-ing the night away and totally forgot to take more pictures of the rest of the food. urgh. another time then. packed the boy off to the airport to catch his flight…

my saturday!
spent lazing around because the schedule for the day was thrown askew. der remembered the wrong date for our dental appointment and we woke up, bright and early (after the late night karaoke), rushed through our breakfast and arrived at the dental clinic and be told that we didn’t have an appointment! Oops. it was supposed to be on sunday! that kinda threw us off and since we were so tired from the night before, we decided to stay in and rest.. except that we didn’t really rest. we ended up playing mahjong for 6 hours! we were all so pre-occupied with our tiles and the determination to win each…

the planned “blind date”.
errrmm.. it didn’t quite go that well in the end so i rather not talk about it. i was trying to secretly match make my friends and finally managed to organise dinner and a karaoke session with my friends/colleagues. have been anticipating the day for weeks! anyway, the best laid plans will still be screwed.. so the night didn’t exactly go as planned at all. 1. everyone had dinner plans last minute cos we separately had dinner before meeting up for karaoke. 2. the supposedly “match-make” couple didn’t talk at all! Krabi day 4 (28 Jan 2010)
Previously wrote an entry that gave a quick summary of the adventures on the 4th day of the krabi trip, which involves white water rafting (mainly), and going on the ATV where i flew off the vehicle. I’m trying not to repeat the entries so here’s some interesting facts during my experience. January is not the season to be white water rafting in krabi. the water levels are low, and there’s isn’t much exciting or rapid water in the river. the experience was ‘rigged’ with dam water, so what happens is that everyone get ready for their experience, gear up, get into the boats and wait by the river bed…

Happpy news for the boy!!
The boy will be really happy to see this picture. Valentine’s day.
I didn’t think i’ll get flowers this year for vday since I was away in msia and the day coincides with 初一 which makes it harder to buy flowers. But… I got a bunch of fake flowers instead. He has bought a bunch of fake flowers from ikea and wrapped them up with a silvery giuseppe zanotti shoe bag, sprayed the flowers with his favourite perfume and gave it to me!! the weekend.
the realization that the CNY is just a week away hit me, and i was in a frenzy cleaning mode the whole weekend. cleared up my room, dump some stuff, reorganized some other stuff, and then.. i threw out about 30 pairs of shoes. not throw technically. krabi trip day 1 (23 Jan 2010)
i was a bunch of grumps due to the lack of sleep. i slept at 8am in the morning (to clear my work before departing), and woke at 9.30am for last minute packing, breakfast and all. for once, der is more gan cheong and kiasu about going to the airport, something that i am not expecting from someone who travels frequently. for me, i just wanted more sleep and nothing else. i never met the photographer and mua before the trip, so i was quite surprised when the duo came up to us and asked if we were who we were. my god, the waiting lounge was huge and there…
