• For the hubby

It’s the hubby’s first Father’s Day but he flew off to australia earlier today for work. I never really dread about the hubby flying off in the past, sometimes, I even enjoy it because we both get some me-times clocked it and it does wonders for the relationship. But pregnancy and parenthood changes everything. I wished he didn’t have to fly and that he is beside me this instance. I think he might feel the same way too. With a busy weekend packed with a flurry of activities, we hardly had the time to recuperate and him to pack his luggage, so we didn’t have any time spent together as…

  • Presents! Jerry’s first nike and more!

my brother who is quite the sneaker fan (he has hundreds of them in different color combination that lines the walls of his room, bought his nephew his first pair of Nike sneakers. Omg. It’s so cute!! I cannot wait till the moment when my boy can wear these. I think at least when he is 9-12months old, meanwhile, mummy here is ogling at the shoes every time I catch the sight of it lying in one corner of the room. Together with the rest of the presents. And oh! Talking about presents, I actually got the items off my wish list – the bumbo chair (in lime green.. Can’t…

  • It’s Jerry.. No! It’s Richie Choo.

Private joke between the husband and me. We have gotten round to addressing our son as Richie Choo instead of Jerry Choo. He has amassed quite a fortune ever since he was born and the amount of gifts we have received since his birth has been pilling at one corner of my room and almost taking up all the walking space that’s available. I have no clue how to clear them and no space to store them! While some of the stuff won’t be useful till he’s older, the rest of the stuff we don’t really need so it’s quite a headache! Sigh. Anyway, Jerry got his first piece of…

  • Mohawk baby

Everyone has been asking me the same question – hey, did you style your son’s hair? (picture taken in ica while we wait to collect his passport, and my IC). He has been spotting this Mohawk hairstyle for the longest time and I thought he looked really cute in it. Well, the answer is NO. I didn’t style it, it’s all al naturale! Well, doesn’t help that his hair has this wet look and it sure do look like I styled it. And there, curious ones out there who has the same question for me.. You got your answer. =) Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

  • Jerry’s week 5

It was a tough week. Post full month party, my sweet angel turned into horror. He was back to his cry non-stop, don’t know what’s wrong, super fussy days. I didn’t even have the chance to rest and was on the brink of collapsing from the fatigue of the party AND caring for him. As if he knew he passed the growth milestone of one glorious month, he jumped straight into a growth spurt and was also demanding to be fed every other hour, and wants to be cuddled all the time. I don’t quite agree to cuddling him ALL the time, but my mum couldn’t stand the crying and…

  • Jerry’s full month party

Planning THE party has been quite the arduous task. Party venue woes aside, planning the guest list, sending out invites, deciding on the menus, ordering the full month cakes for relatives and the last minute works. Wow. And I thought it could be a simple affair. I am soooooooo wrong. Everyone wanted to turn up (and turn up they did!) and the party turned out to be quite a mayhem, packed to the brim, lack of food, guests going hungry, my relatives had to stand at the door to give way to others. Oh my… I feel like a bad host! First thing first, cakes. We had wanted to do…

  • Jerry is ONE month old!

And a few days, because I am terribly late with this post. Time really did fly in the last one month. Before I know it, the confinement period was up and my son turned one month old! Dear baby Jerry, it’s been an eventful one month thus far! From your first few moments in life, all stark naked and blood-stained in the delivery room, to having all your measurements taken with daddy companying while mummy is still being stitched up. Your crinkly bitter gourd face when bundled up, as if you are telling the nurses that you want to be cleaned up. Mummy’s first picture with you, just at the…

  • Today, I eat my words.

Of having my son sleep in the cot ALL THE TIME. I actually asked my mum if she could babysit Jerry throughout the night tonight to ease me of my motherly duties. I am still reeling from the post party fatigue, overwhelmed by the amount of tasks post party and coupled with a fussy baby the whole day, 3 hrly milk production schedule + cleaning works and early mornings (popped into the office today to give my team some cakes & we are going to collect jerry’s passport tomorrow..), I decided I needed a good night sleep. One void of baby cryings and diaper changing. Never mind that I’ll still…

  • Poor hubby.

He is SO GONNA KILL ME FOR THIS! But I think it’s worthy of a mention and deserves a post of it on my blog. for remembrance. Heh. The poor hubby have been tired out by our small little milk monster. Last night, the hubby practically didn’t sleep a wink. He was up and about feeding and changing diapers, and between feeds, was playing on his iPad cos he couldn’t get to sleep! When I woke, he headed home to ran some errands before popping back 2 hrs later, right on cue for jerry’s next feed (it was already 6am) and after we were done and baby is back sleeping,…
