• The husband and daddy..

Right after Jerry pops out, I can’t decide whether I still love my husband or am starting hate him. Never the bit that his attention was all on the tiny bud since the moment he pop out and forgot about the well-being of the mother (ello, its me!!). Haha. You know, he’s literally glued to his iPad/iPhone all the time.. So I asked.. Hey, now that Jerry is out, are you donna drop your iPad and attend to Jerry? He looked at me and went…can I have an iJerry please?! When he was going to attempt to carry Jerry.. I went, hey, remove your watch (it’s his rolex), wait you…

  • Jerry’s birth story

And so, after being in pain for almost 13hrs, I had my breakfast and was asked to head to the delivery floor where all the holding rooms were and waiting for gynae to come check on us. Us because my gynae was going to deliver 4 babies (one after another) and all the mummies were being placed together. He checked my dilation, 2cm and proceeded to break my water bag. Just like how many told me, it was a warm fuzzy feeling.. But moments later, I had some really bad news. The baby is in distress and has already passed faeces in the womb. If the baby swallowed the faeces…

  • Meet my baby Jerry

Born on 5 May, 2011 at 1459hrs, weighing 2.98kg, 49cm and 33cm head circumference. When the gynae threw him on me the moment he popped out, I got a real shock when he opened his eyes and stared at me. Of cos, he couldn’t really ‘see’ me. Havent really had the chance to interact much with Jerry yet, he spent most of his first day in the nursery under the warmer. heck.. I don’t even have pictures to show and tell. These are stolen from hubby’s phone, which has since changed his focus to the baby ever since he popped out! Case in point – was still in the delivery…

  • Still wide awake.

2 hours after I said good night earlier, I am still wide awake. Heck, I even filed my nails and trimmed my brows in the process and also ate a bowl of kokocrunch cereals. Plus read a couple of blogs, and set up my google reader. I feel sleep deprived. Amidst random contractions that I am feeling. Yawns. I really want to sleep you know, have to wake at 8am tomorrow to vacate the bed (the new mattress is coming) and I need to pop out of the house while it’s being delivered. The mum’s orders. Oh wells. Put me in a slumber soon! Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

  • Pregnancy update – 40 weeks & 2 days.

Ok. Turning 40 weeks and 3 days in a bit while I pen this down and get this post posted… I AM STILL PREGNANT!!! and hanging around waiting! And I wonder why my baby ain’t ready. I didn’t really expect myself to hit full term actually, not especially with all that pelvic pains/discomfort that’s restricting my movement and mobility. Maybe it’s jerry’s way of having me get some rest clocked in before he pops out and create havoc in my calm little world. The funny hubby was lying all the soft toys around and about the bed tonight, all staring into the ceiling, in one tight circle. what are they…

  • It’s a boy!

Ok. This is late, but congrats to kristy and wenhao for the arrival of their joyous bundle, baby jaryl on 28th Apr. No, no, no.. It’s not my baby!! Baby jaryl is supposed to due one week after my Jerry, so this ‘didi’ turned ‘gorgor’ instead! Now, I wonder when my Jerry decides to make its arrival. Mummy here is getting a little impatient! =) Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

  • Medela breast pump from the US

Just for the record.. If you are ever intending to buy a US model (please do, because the savings is very significant).. You don’t need to use a voltage transformer here in Singapore because it works.. Just like all my other US appliances (ASUS netbook, toshiba laptop) that I own. I just charged mine yesterday for 24hrs and it works perfectly fine, despite my aunt checking with the sales person in US and they confirming that it is not auto-voltage and cannot be used. Wth?! sometimes, I really do wonder if they really know what they are talking about (you’ll be surprised to know that many many US residents/citizens never…

  • Bok bok bok.. It’s goes!

A visual representation of jerry’s heartbeat on the CTG machine! It was a long wait and an uncomfortable 20 mins as I didn’t quite dare to move. There were times where Jerry moved about and the heartbeat rate changes, other times, I find myself unconsciously holding my breath (ain’t sure why!).. And I do get real nervous when his heartbeat increases. =) At times, it goes up to 150 which freaks me out a little. Well, at the end of it all.. I’m just glad that he’s fine! How the machine looks like, just for the record. Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

  • thoughts on the pregnancy journey..

i am staring at the screen for like the looooongest time, and i have no clue how to pen down the thoughts i had in my head. i feel like a bad mother-to-be today. i went to see the gynae today and its seems that jerry is a little too small than he is supposed to be at week 37. the gynae sounded a little concerned, but he was telling me that it may be a good thing because it means it’s easier to give birth since its a smaller baby. i’m not sure if he was just trying to encourage me and assuring me that everything will be fine.…

  • Late night snack for the baby

As if the 4am insomnia for the last 2 months isn’t a good enough torture, I gave been waiting up feeling really hungry these days. Feels like I’m back in my first trimester when I had to munch biscuits in the dark (for fear of waking hubby)! So these couple of days, I have been surviving on this! Koko krunch! I’m on my 2nd box in just a couple of days.. Good thing that the fridge is well stocked of milk by the hubby! Now that my baby is satisfied, I can go back to sleep!
