at week 36 and day 4.
it’s getting unbearable. the pelvic pains are setting in, I feel extremely heavy and am waddling when I walk. does not help that the contractions are also happening so frequently together with the sciatica pains shooting down my legs. my tail bone hurts big time when I sit at my work desk for a tad too long and I still have to deal with urine incontinence with the baby pressing down my bladder. argh. pregnancy woes. and sleep. I haven’t slept well for a while, and recently, I keep getting cramps in my right leg (the same leg that I had a surgery some years back) so I’m…

at week 34
ultrasound at wk32+. the ultrasound scan hasn’t been showing much for the past few months because the baby’s head is down so there hasn’t been anything interesting to show. I have started to notice that my face is getting rounder by the day, mostly evident in the photos of me. it has also been rather depressing since I am down to very limited pieces of clothing to rotate since I have outgrown quite a bit of them and they are simply too tight to be even comfortable at all..because of that, I have been rather reluctant to step out of the house or feel auntish whenever I head out.…

jerry is 19 months!
I have been tardy on this space! with the pregnancy moving into the third tri (hello week 30!), work, the demise of 2 family members recently (all within a week) and a hyper toddler, my hands have been pretty full. and before I know it.. my boy turned 19 months today. the most significant part was that he lost all his babiness while I werent looking! I looked through the pictures in the past 3 months and its like.. he suddenly transformed. I kinda miss the round chubby cheeks that he used to spot in the pictures above. he now looks and acts like a little adult, so I…

I could watch him forever..
when he’s asleep. I think all babies look angelic when they sleep. I love unwinding my day, lying in bed, and just staring.. before drifting off myself. its like an unsung lullaby. this baby, I think he has an internal compass in his body or something. he disagrees with our bed orientation and always turn himself around every night, placing his head near our feet. we’ll turn him around a few times each night, only to wake and see him back in the same direction / position. we are so afraid of kicking him in his face that we sometimes turn ourselves around and join him. I…

halfway mark @ 20 weeks.
ok. I’m flashing a little birdie at all of you. heh. birdie of my little prince. I can’t quite believe i’m halfway there! I have been so so busy at work so much so that blogging has seriously taken a back seat in my life. I crashed out on most nights before midnight if I’m home early, or I’ll be typing away on the laptop. and by early, I meant reaching home at about 9pm, in time to grab a quick dinner before putting my son in bed. not quite that ‘early’ by normal people standards. people around me seemed to be enjoying work life balance with knock off timings…

weekend fun at polliwogs.
last Saturday, we had to bring jerry to the paed for his vaccination and when we were done, it was only 930am so we decided to check out the newly opened polliwogs at Robertson. I'm usually not keen on visiting playgrounds/play gyms because I'm worried about the older rowdier kids within the same grounds, since kids usually go a bit uncontrollable when they are having loads of fun. however, I read that it was not as crowded since its newly opened and it had a separate toddler area so we decided to go check it out. getting tagged. the service was good and since it was my first visit, the…

my cool kid at 1.40am.
I was sleeping when baby started screaming in his sleep. the husband left what he was doing (playing Diablo) and went to the kitchen to make some milk. guess what my son did next.. he moved in quickly and promptly took over the mouse. I told the husband that all that playing is bad influence.. now, I got some photographic evidence to prove my point! the kids really learn! thank godness he only shook the mouse in my face and didn’t know the exact keys to play. excuse me now. I gotta go lull him back into bed. *yawns* Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

having a whale of a time.
look who’s pushing all the boundaries and grabbed himself a drink from the drinks bucket? totally loving it. don’t worry. no babies was harmed in the process. the can was chilled but it wasn’t opened.. he was just licking off the condensation off the can. Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

bedtimes.
I’m not denying it. my blog feels very neglected because I haven’t been updating it as often as I liked. I just didn’t have the energy. lately, its getting quite a pain in the arse (pardon my language) having to put my son down for bedtime. he just struggles and wriggles all over and slids out of the bed and just kept moving non stop! gone are the days when I can just give him a bottle of milk to drink and he’ll fade off shortly after finishing the milk. whatever happened?! I think its toddlerhood. he wants to play a lot more. wants more attention. struts around…

learning about darkness and light.
my household suffered a blackout (make that several blackouts), and we were moving around with torches trying to identify the source of the power trip. jerry was part of the entire saga and I was rather amused he wasn’t freaked out by the darkness at all. he just followed us around, wanting to get into the thick of action in whatever we are doing, mainly observing and mimicking. I gave him a torch light and he went shining into everything that he wanted to check out and even went on an expedition around the house by himself! am mighty amused by his actions for quite a while…
