9 May 2017, Tuesday, 10.30pm. Jerry lost his first tooth ever. It has been shaky for weeks and his new teeth has been peeking beside the baby tooth for a while. We were still wondering if he was going to have his birthday pictures toothless some weeks back. Things Jerry says: The negotiator I can’t emphasise how much this kid amaze me all the time. I havent read a book to jerry for ages. my bad. other priorities got the better of me. i tried to show him a new book tonight but he went to his book shelf and pulled this out instead. yes. he likes to choose his own books and this is, afterall one of the newer books in his little library. so here’s my surprise. fitting in, at childcare for Jerry.
its been a month since jerry started childcare. I went to peep at him on Friday and was happy to see that he is finally blending/fitting in at childcare. from the kid that is always away from the pack and in his own world, he is now able to sit with his classmates and join in the class activities. I am soooo proud of him! it might have been a mighty small achievement but it means so much to me. to us, as the parents. and to him, as a child adapting into a new environment. as I was leaving the premises, I bumped into his class teacher…

Jerry feeds himself breakfast in school!
finally, Jerry survives a week in childcare! this morning, the husband dropped him at the door and he wailed for about 30 secs before recovering himself, and all is good thereafter. we cannot be more proud. When i picked him up in the evening, the teacher updated me that there was no tears when he woke up from his nap, but he, as usual napped for a much shorter period than his peers. all is good. I am going to extend his timing and pick him up at 6pm from next week onwards. ending this post with a video i took on wednesday where jerry feeds himself breakfast! Have a…

Jerry’s first day of school/childcare!
Today is such a momentous day. It marks jerry’s first day of school/childcare. It is also an extremely emotional day for me, which I hadn’t expected I would feel this way. Come to think of it, I spent quite a bit of effort in prepping for his big day, from putting him on wait list, to bugging the schools in giving me a slot, to getting all the enrollment papers done, buying his uniform, his school bag, buying new toiletries/towels etc to be used in the school, ironing on his name labels on everything to packing his bag last night. jerry turns 22 months!

an update on the kids and me.
since the birth of Jerome, life has pretty much been a blur for me. feeding, burping, sleeping, expressing milk, bottle washing, and the likes. I havent have had much energy for anything else really. I remember being very sleep deprived when I had Jerry, with me expressing milk every 2-3 hours. this time round, I have been super lax in this area, expressing only every 4-6hrs.and am in the midst of trying to stretch it longer, but I am equally tired, if not more. in the last 3 weeks, Jerry also turned 21 months old. the bringing of Jerome home didn’t quite affect Jerry. i guessed it helps that…
