my little doggy baby.
i havent interacted with Jerry for the past week. By the time i get home the past nights (which has either been close to midnight or past midnight), he’s fast asleep and every morning, i pop out for work before he’s up. It’s quite depressing actually, feeling all that fatigue from work, and yet burdened with the guilt that i am not spending more time adequately with the baby. I will also be working on the weekends for the next few weeks and am kinda upset that more precious time is taken away from me… but guess it’s just life. i can’t choose to have everything my way, isn’t it?…

Mr two-tooth.
Finally. A picture of the 2 teeth. I used to trick my baby using my finger for him to suck on while the milk preparation is in progress because when he wants his milk, he wants it NOW. Nowadays, it’s damn painful because he’ll gnaw at my finger instead and my finger usually comes out sore and red, and a tad painful if I may add. I’m just glad I’m not latching him! baby updates.
i kinda neglected this little space of mine in terms of baby updates. in a flash, i have been back to work for a month already! the sleep deprivation ain’t that bad now though i feel very tired all the time and could easily drop off to dreamland any time. which is why this space of mine is near empty. because the heart wants to but the brain shuts down. tuesday. brought Jerry for his pneumococcus 2 jab and it was the worst jab thus far in terms of the tears he shed, but i couldn’t help think that he look really cute when he cries (i’m biased). i have…

Happy 5 months!
Time flies. I hardly can catch up with all the milestones for my baby! In summary, he grew 2 bottom incisors, grown much taller, learnt to crawl/burrow and went for his first swim at a public condo pool in the last month. Baby lounging on the deck chair.. Lounging in his baby seat. With daddy! Time spent with baby has decreased significantly ever since my return to the workforce and mummy me is playing catch up during the weekends. I do wish I have more time to spend with the baby but really, it’s too expensive to bring up a kid in this day and time to quit my job.…

A tiny little pearly.
Right after my previous blog post about feeling jerry’s teeth and not seeing it, it made it’s appearance the next day when I came home from work! I didn’t have any pictures to show though because he moves to much, doesn’t open his mouth voluntarily and when it happens, his tongue is busy thrashing about so it’s peek-a-boo with the pearly white for now. His left teeth is showing first. Too cute. Meanwhile, mummy is giving him cooling teethers to chew on and it’s has proved quite useful in distracting him.. Nom nom nom. The kind of face that you come home to and makes all your frigging fatigue melt away and cast all that worries and stress to thousands of miles away that you don’t even remember they exist. Happy 4 months, son!
(this post is 2 days late) Meet Mr. Chewy Fingers. I told my son that i’ll take a picture of him chewing his fingers and show it to daddy if he chews. For a moment, I thought he understood because he took away the fingers, only to put them back moments later. And here’s photographic evidence for the dad. Self amusement.
Jerry certainty can self-amuse these days and play for extended period of time by himself. Mighty pleased that my purchase of Lion in the Park activity gym by bright stars that I bought in the states is being put to good use (gotta thank my aunt for lugging it back for me!!). But then again, I hung his Lamaze Sir Prance-a-lot on it and he jabs happily at it and attempts to pull it apart by tugging at its legs. Guess who found his toes?
I was caught by surprise today when Jerry started playing with his toes! In other news, he has been flipping non stop on the sofa, on the bed, in the bathtub (!!), in the stroller, in his rocker and everywhere else imaginable. So mummy me has my hands tied up and eyes busy keeping an eye on him. Man, it’s tedious work! Nonetheless, I am also trying to spend more time with him since I’m heading back to work real soon.
