the hubby knows me best.
just the other day, the hubby was asking me.. hey, you think when you are at home most of the time during your maternity, would you be able to save more money since you don’t have much chance of spending money? Me – nope. i think i’ll squander all my money away on online shopping. him – hmm.. that’s what i think so too. die la like that. haha. the truth is, i don’t even need to wait till i’m on maternity. just 2 nights ago, i clicked, clicked and got myself a black clutch bag from ASH! i have been lemming for a clutch for the longest time, and…

Being spontaneous!
Last Friday, I sat around in the house and wondered how I could get through the long weekend. Der has stopped me from swimming ever since the pelvic pain got worse. I miss it sorely and its the only exercise routine that I have to get my heart pumping.. So without it, I have been feeling lethargic and restless. Was randomly surfing around and I decided to book a BBQ pit for the next day.. And I quickly logged on to my town council website for the booking. Woohoo! Thank goodness for half day work days on Saturday mornings. Popped into mum’s room to tell her about it. I think…

My sweet hubby.
I have always been a big fan of roasted duck and I haven’t ate any for the longest time ever since I got preggers, because of a miscommunication between my mum and me. She kept telling me that I should avoid duck meat because they are oh-so-toxic. I was rather bummed out and made der promise that he’ll bring me on a trip to hong kong to feast on their roasted goose before the end of the year. It’s many times nicer than a roasted duck and besides it’s been ages since we last went hk.. The last time i went, i lugged back 3 big birds for the family…

The miserable slob that I am..
Or turning into. I’m not sure if the home rest with the doc’s mc is a good thing. I’m definitely one of those that treasure my mobility A LOT, and being stuck at home in pain is no fun. Especially since I can’t really find a comfortable position to lie in for long without feeling aches and pain especially with the weight that im bearing. I still remember when I had that ligament surgery some years back, I snuck out in the evening with my crutches on the day I was discharged from the hospital, much to the horror of my mum. Yes, never mind that I hopped into a…

Sleep talking
My boy sleep talks quite a bit everyday, and being the light sleeper that I am.. Sometimes, I wake, only to realize he is sleeping.. The conversations can vary to really weird things and the best part is, if I ask a question.. He will still answer me in his sleep. The following convo just happened in the dark (I woke to pee and can’t sleep after) while I was playing with my mobile phone. Der: hey, go move the car to the side.Me: huh?! Why should I move the car? Der: you are blocking someone in the multi-storey carpark. Me: *giggles* Sometimes, it’s about girls (his colleagues), shoes, his…

the fun saturday morning…
i have been secretly praying that the baby won’t pop out that soon because i very last minute decided to sign myself up for a maternity shoot to capture some memories of this pregnancy. because it’s so last minute, i haven’t really done my research and really think about how i want the shoot to be. i enlisted der’s help in checking out some maternity shoot packages, decided on one, made an appointment that fit into our schedule and viola, the next thing we know.. we are on set. we did the shoot yesterday morning, the only saturday that’s available since our antenatal class ended last weekend, and being totally…

Tonight’s dinner.
Simple and yummy. I had craving for Maggie curry chicken noodles, so I cooked for the boy and me! With sunny side egg for him and scrambled eggs for myself, paired with loads and loads of vegetables and eryngii bunch mushrooms. Wash all that down with 2 cans of iced cola.. (so not me!) Bliss! Would have been really perfect if I didn’t accidentally burn the boy’s egg. I ran to my room to SMS him that his noodles are ready and have him quickly pop over and in that split second, the egg was slightly burnt cos my fire was too big. =( Nonetheless, the boy enjoyed the meal!…

Weekend fun.
Last weekend saw us spending quite a bit of time at the hospital.. Oh. On the health front, I finally got der to check out his neck with an orthopedic. Helps that I was familiar with it since I tore my ligament some 6 years back and I set an appointment for him. He saw the doc once 2 weeks ago, got a MRI scan done and last weekend, we reviewed the scan with the doc. Planned it in conjunction with all our antenatal class so it was perfect. The scan results did show that he had a slightly worn out disc in his neck that’s probably causing the pain…

thoughts on the pregnancy journey..
i am staring at the screen for like the looooongest time, and i have no clue how to pen down the thoughts i had in my head. i feel like a bad mother-to-be today. i went to see the gynae today and its seems that jerry is a little too small than he is supposed to be at week 37. the gynae sounded a little concerned, but he was telling me that it may be a good thing because it means it’s easier to give birth since its a smaller baby. i’m not sure if he was just trying to encourage me and assuring me that everything will be fine.…

Sending happiness along someone’s way!
Don’t you love it when you do a small act and attain happiness when you send happiness in someone’s way? Sent out a bouquet of flowers last week to cheer kristy up on her birthday! It was drama to send these flowers because I have NO CLUE what her address was, so I based it on guesswork and had the florist call up to double confirm before the delivery. Of cos, the address was so wrong (one street away) but the flowers got to her still, and made her a very happy girl! She told der – if I didn’t receive any flowers today, I can’t sleep and would go…
