The weekend.
I just wished it didn’t end that fast.. Am feeling from fatigue and the weekend didn’t make it any better! It was grandpa’s birthday (der’s maternal grandpa) and the family had a celebration in the west. Baby jerry seemed to have stolen the limelight from grandpa. Everyone wants a share of him.. I should have set up a booth at the party and do rent-a-baby service and charge everyone by 5 min blocks. Ha. Am joking. we are 1!
i couldn’t quite believe that one year has just passed like that. at the same time a year ago, we are busy serving tea to all our relatives at our tea ceremony at this exact moment. it’s been a blast of a year. we went for the longest holiday ever (in our lives) for honeymoon, celebrated our baby bump and then started our lives as parents a few months ago. it’s been great. really. looking forward to the many years ahead of us and the many anniversaries to come! now, i’ll sit back and wait for the breakfast to arrive in bed. the hubby has gone to buy breakfast for…

A date out with the hubby.
Ok. Make that 2 dates. The first was a movie date – x men first class on one of the week days night 1.5 weeks ago. We had my mum babysit and snuck off for a movie date. Kinda loving these small random little stolen moments together. The movie was great and very enjoyable, though I’m not quite the marvel fan. probably one of the best movies I have seen of late (that’s not many movies actually, heh). Friday night. Day 4 at home!
Technically, we ain’t home! Jerry needs to pop back to TMC for a check up and I’m kinda excited to be heading out of the house. All ready to go! Getting ready to pop out of the house used to be easy when it’s just the 2 of us, 30mins or less is all we need. Now, getting ready is a mammoth task! It took der & me 2 hrs to get everything needed for baby packed, washed, feed him, pump milk, washed everything to be brought out and check and double check everything again. Being spontaneous!
Last Friday, I sat around in the house and wondered how I could get through the long weekend. Der has stopped me from swimming ever since the pelvic pain got worse. I miss it sorely and its the only exercise routine that I have to get my heart pumping.. So without it, I have been feeling lethargic and restless. Was randomly surfing around and I decided to book a BBQ pit for the next day.. And I quickly logged on to my town council website for the booking. Woohoo! Day 4 in Bali – Dining in Bali (Last day of Babymoon)
Weird that I am finishing up my babymoon episode faster than the honeymoon episodes because the Europe trip has many more days to go and there’s just too many details because we were out and about everywhere and it takes a while to write while the bali trip has been nothing but food (dining in bali), eat, sleep and swim. Day 3 in Bali.. Our Bali vacation –
It’s my 2nd attempt drafting this and I do hope my phone app doesn’t have any error and eat up my Bali vacation entry like the last time! We had out for lunch in the late afternoon after a short swim. That typically has been our routine for the days spent in Bali.. Kite flying in woodlands.
Der & me has been talking about flying kites for ages. I used to do it a lot when I was a kid, with my brother and we used to make our own kites with perfect symmetry that makes the kites fly really high up. We usually loses the kites because they’ll get too high and the string snaps due to the strong winds, but we are always back the following week with newly made kites and new strings.
