one of those awwwwww…moment.
have been working late all week and some days, I come home to find everyone asleep. one of those days, this was the sight that greeted me. if you look carefully, Jerry was laughing in his sleep when I snapped the picture. opportune moment. when i asked the husband the next day, he say Jerry was hugging the bigger pig so he just placed the tiny one in front of the other and fell asleep after.. the husband is also almost falling off the bed. I have loads to say, but I need to go chase after jerry. he climbing, running all over.. Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

My mum’s invention.
Drool is a big part of my life at this point in time. Jerry has been drooling so much lately, I sometimes wonder if he gets dehydrated from all the liquid loss. He wets his bib ever so frequently and my mum couldn’t launder them fast enough, especially with the erratic weather these days, so she ‘recycles’ his rompers from the night before (the ones Jerry wears to bed with), turn it upside down and let him wear it as a bib to collect his drool. Know what? I personally think its a brilliant idea, environmentally and pocket friendly too! If you try out this idea as well, let me…

Chilling out with great grandpa.
My grandpa’s health has been really bad lately. At a ripe old age of 96, I guess the body is in a retiring sort of mode. The last hospital episode made my grandpa draw up and finalize his will, and he was all ready to ‘go’. I do wish he won’t give up the fight so readily, but who am I to judge? I’m barely 1/3 of his age.. Meanwhile, I have been jumping at every single opportunity for jerry to spend some time with him, because I can see my great grandpa eyes twinkle with joy when he sees the kiddo.. Plus, he is always ready to cuddle the…

Quick update.
I have been silent for almost 2 weeks now. It’s been madness here, juggling with a almost-deadly virus that rendered a whole household sick, a out of whack schedule for baby, a majorly sleep deprived mother with loads of stress at work with pressing deadlines (colleague was on 1.5 weeks leave and there were tons to be done) and many visits to the pediatrician on top of round-the-clock administration of medicine for jerry. I almost couldn’t hang in there. It’s slightly better now, but im still sick, and still superbly sleep deprived. What seemed to be a flu for jerry turns out to be a really nasty virus that warranted…

My Sunday evening..
It’s pouring outside, and I’m feeling all warm and happy inside the house.. Because… I’m eating steamboat! Perfect evening in my books. Here’s what I have got in my pot.. Wong bok (Chinese cabbage) and duo-colored sweet corn (I swear by them but they are expensive stuff!). Egg tofu, chicken franks, and baby corn. King oyster mushrooms, fresh shiitake mushrooms, and green leafy choy sum vegetables. Fish balls and my favorite must-have ‘Tao ki’ (must be deep fried prior, I am anal on such stuff) And a tray of yummy pork belly slices. Look at all the marbling! Last but not least, the condiments! Home made chilli, Mizkan sesame flavor…

The weekend.
I just wished it didn’t end that fast.. Am feeling from fatigue and the weekend didn’t make it any better! It was grandpa’s birthday (der’s maternal grandpa) and the family had a celebration in the west. Baby jerry seemed to have stolen the limelight from grandpa. Everyone wants a share of him.. I should have set up a booth at the party and do rent-a-baby service and charge everyone by 5 min blocks. Ha. Am joking. We swung by earlier than everyone since we were in the vicinity for a weaning talk and the grandparents got some alone time with Jerry, which is nice because the smiles on their faces…
