conversations with Jerry
now that jerry have better comprehension of the stuff i say, it’s quite fun to talk to him (or frustrating, depending on how you see it). these days, he is also fighting sleep and stays awake till midnight which is quite a torture for der & me.. because when he falls asleep, jerome wakes at about 1 plus for his feed and we are usually pretty zombified by then. the other day, while i was battling sleep time with jerry in the dark.. c: hey jerry, can you go to bed? its very late already. j: uh..uh.. (no, together with shaking of his head) c: you don’t want to sleep?…

conversations with the husband #1
am starting this series of “conversations with the husband” to jot down the funny snippets of conversations between the husband and me. I find some of the conversations that we have totally wacky, and some times, just plain irritating. should be fun noting them down. photo credit [was sharing with husb on a girlfriend who had to hint very very hard for the bf to give her a bouquet of flowers] c: what is it that guys dont get about sending flowers to their girlfriends? (actually indirectly directing the message to husb as well) d: hmmm… [silence] c: aiyah, i know already. next time i don’t bother hinting. i should…

motherhood is especially fun when you have company.
im slowly counting down to the end of the maternity leave and am not looking forward to it. while looking after 2 kiddos is tough and tiring, having friends going through the same period of motherhood with you and enjoying the same stretch of maternity leave is kinda fun.. there’s excitement in our days as we share stories in our whatsapp group chat, plan lunches and meet up, as well as playdates. there is also loads of laughter and discussion about everything under the sun so there is never a dull moment. i am also especially thankful that they are a bunch of very encouraging mums as well and always…

I need a break.
I couldnt have been more glad when weekend came last week. saturday marks the end of my solo parenting stint (yes, again) when der came back from china in the wee hours of the morning. i was struggling on the days he aint around because the round-the-clock every 3hrs feed is quite a killer on top of a active toddler. i have been sick for a while and i just never got the chance to rest properly and recover at all (or even pay a visit to the doc). the bad news is, my throat is a lot more inflammed than it was before, and i really feel quite under…

my little money maker.
he who earns money by putting coins into his coin bank. about a month ago (or was it longer than that?), I started taking his coin bank out to let him play as a toy (since it has wheels that turns like a vehicle) to occupy him during one of those he-drives-me-crazy moments. I showed him a coin and how to put it in.. and left some coins on the ground for him to play.. he started putting them all into the coin bank.. and that started his money making venture! he brings the coin bank around and my family members will give him coins so that he…

dealing with mischief.
left unattended for a minute and this is what happens.. he does that to the tissue boxes, the wet tissue dispenser.. I found it funny, because I wasn’t the one that was going to clean up (i was rushing out of the house for work) but my mum had her arms up in exasperation. she started spanking my son as well, which hurts as much on me when it hits him. I wouldn’t have it that way, but my mum is so stressed out with my hyper son that whatever feedback intentions that I have are returned with defensive shouts that always end with a bad taste…

the decoder.
someone has discovered the fun of the decoding my iPhone. I don’t usually give jerry my phone to play. he calls its ‘apple’! not because its an apple phone, but I sometimes play the phonics song on my phone for him so he always remember the song as apple. I left my phone on the bed the other day and went about doing my stuff. when I look up, the kid was happily pressing the phone and he has managed to disable my phone for 1 min. didn’t manage to snatch back the phone so I took a picture as evidence instead. to show the hubby…

my cool kid at 1.40am.
I was sleeping when baby started screaming in his sleep. the husband left what he was doing (playing Diablo) and went to the kitchen to make some milk. guess what my son did next.. he moved in quickly and promptly took over the mouse. I told the husband that all that playing is bad influence.. now, I got some photographic evidence to prove my point! the kids really learn! thank godness he only shook the mouse in my face and didn’t know the exact keys to play. excuse me now. I gotta go lull him back into bed. *yawns* Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

funny.
i was clearing out some emails in my inbox and chanced upon an email from moomeh that’s full of pictures of a play date we went to. can’t remember if i posted this before, but i couldnt help but burst out laughing upon seeing this. Jerry had wanted to get closer to zach and ‘play’ with him, but zach has thought that he was going to snatch his train. doesnt situations like that always happens between kids? meanwhile, it has also dawned on me that my jerry has grown quite different now!
