• day 1, taipei

the day in taipei started kinda late since we couldnt get the early morning flight. took the flight at noon and i was totally cranky with all the rushing and not being able to get motion sickness pills before i headed off to the airport.. when we landed in taipei, we met andy! he was taking over our flight and heading back to sing! see the 2 of them being separated by a glass panel? people walking pass would think we were nuts, trying to communicate.. we stayed in paradise hotel, an old hotel located a street away from ximending. the room was ok, nothing fantastic. the only grouse i…

  • vietnam day 4

i am having a little wee bit of problem trying to put a recollection of the trip at this point in time. it’s been 2 months since the trip! well, also because i accidentally threw the itinerary away. thankfully, the chronological pictures helps! headed to mekong river on the 4th day. mekong river reminds me of chao praya river in thailand, but it’s a much calmer version with pretty blue boats all over. i didnt ask the guide, but i wonder why the boats are all in the same color.. such a pretty sight. we took a boat to one of the islands and here’s some pictures of the pier…

  • very satisfied

although i have yet to discover the full potential of the nikon d80.. i am very happy with the buy, because every picture looked like it’s postcard quality! here’s one picture of the chiang kai-shek memorial hall in taiwan! no editing done. pretty right?! and here’s another 5 pictures, made into a collage of der jumping over the “entrance gate”. and when i say i had clicking fun, i really had a lot of fun taking pictures like that. gonna finish up the vietnam trip first before i blog about taiwan! and hk!

  • in hk international airport

am stuck here at the airport because the flight is delayed. anyhow, i’m not complaining because i would have already missed my flight if the flight is not delayed. am here at the airport on time, but i was told by my aunt that i’m flying united. well, the receipt that i’m holding doesn’t say the airlines, so i really assumed it was united. after all, i didnt have a single glitch from sing to taipei and taipei to hk. anyway, anyhow, we were in the united queue for the longest time and the queue wasn’t even moving. 1 hr before the flight departure, there were at least 40 people…

  • tired and jetting off

the week had been exhausting with me working late night the entire week. i cannot believe i was madly typing till 4+am in the morning at home and struggling to keep myself awake. didn’t managed to update as much as i would love to.. i seriously just feel like staying home today and rest.. but you know what? i’m jetting off in a few hours. i should really pop into the bathroom now and get ready before i keep der’s family waiting to send me to the airport. whee!! taiwan, here i come! in the meanwhile, please don’t miss me ya? i’ll be updating whenever i can! rebbylicious just reminded…

  • Vietnam adventures (day 2)

On the 2nd day of the vietnam trip, we headed to the Cu Chi tunnels – a web-like tunnel systems of more than 200km used by the guerrillas during the vietnam war against the americans. I’m kinda intrigued by how the people can survive in such limited spaces, having to stay/live under ground and all those simple, yet potent traps to win the war.. the map behind me and a signature jump at the entrance. a small little hiding hole in the ground. of cos, i got down and experienced it myself!

  • updates from saigon..

i have internet access in saigon! super regret that i didnt not lug my lappie here, so i’m leveraging from my bro’s macbok now and he’s been eyeing me for the longest time and hinting me to return him the macbook. 😛 oh well. the first day just went past like that. toured for 3 hours and the whole afternoon was free and easy.. spent the time walking to a market to buy loads of fruits, and then sleeping it away. everyone was sooooOOooo tired with all that travelling here and there. didn’t eat very fantastic food today. hopefully tomorrow gonna be better!

  • i’m very the sad can?!

this is depressing. i only have 4 working days left before the vietnam trip to complete all my work and i am feeling so so deflated. i just realised yesterday that i am on course for 3 full days next week. Argh! drove me into panic mode immediately because there is so much to be done at this point in time! even my colleagues commented that i am very quiet these days in the office. i am madly rushing but yet, there is still so much undone. demoralized. 🙁 on other news.. i have also confirmed air tickets for travel plans in the month of july! things are just gonna…
