Our Deepavali Holiday.
How did you spend the mid week pubic holiday last week? We had wanted to bring the boys for some cycling but the clouds were grey and it started pouring even before we reached the park after our lunch. It rained pretty bad and we knew that there is no way we could wait out the rain. As we were driving on the ECP, the next destination that came to my mind was Changi Airport! I love big spaces where the kids can run, and I especially love changi airport because I used to love watching airplanes take off from the viewing gallery when I was a kid, so I…

Cycling at East Coast Park!
It’s been a long time since, but we finally did it! The husband & I made it back to East Coast Park for some outdoorsy fun, along with the kids. To think we used to blade there very often, pre-kids. I have been wanting to go, but there was never a good chance – kid too young, preggers, 2nd kid too young etc. Now that they both are running and climbing all over, and Jerome can understand some bits of instruction… there is so much we can start doing! Can you tell that I was A LOT more excited than the kids? Nooooooo… the kids were both equally excited, but…

Because family matters more.
Last Monday, I took urgent leave and made a last minute trip to Malaysia to visit my grandpa. You know how we always give ourselves the excuse that we will visit someone when we have the time but the time never come before it is too late? I don’t want that to ever happen to me again ever since my maternal grandma passed away 2 years back. So, I had to skip a training at work and brought the entire family on a road trip to visit my grandpa. After all, he is turning a century old next year. The stars aligned that day and my uncles and aunty were going to be there…

Jerome’s 1st swim!
As 2nd time parents, I honestly think that we are tardy in some ways in exposing Jerome. Jerry had his first swim at 5 months, but Jerome only went for his first swim last month when he is 17 months old. While there are many factors that lead to this, the key reason is… having one kid is so much easier to manage, especially with 2 pairs of watchful eyes. Here’s the truth. We weren’t as confident in bringing 2 kids to the pool by ourselves especially when they both are so young, and basically not easy to handle (i.e. super active). And then, the kids just keep falling sick one…

Celebrating the little men in my life with Pumpkin Patch Kids.
Have you guessed who I am talking about? Of cos, I’m talking about Jerry & Jerome. While I haven’t looked, they both have grown so much. Jerome is almost the same weight as Jerry now (just a few hundred grams difference!), blabbers a lot with a few clearly recognizable words like 水 and neh neh. He can speak a lot more, I caught him a few times saying stuff that blows me off, but at this point in time, my poor brain fails me. He’s still shorter than Jerry, but I think he will surpass Jerry very soon and is very much his own person. Totally different from Jerry. He…

Photography Class with Canon at Fidgets! #myfamilywcanon
About a month ago, the team from Canon Singapore invited the family for a fun day at Fidgets. There were arts and craft classes, and baking classes arranged for the kids but both Jerry & Jerome were kinda too young to be left alone or attend the class so we simply let them loose in Fidgets and have them run around the indoor playground for some fun under our watchful eyes. The adults, we got to learn some photography tips from ex photojournalist, Ah Bob the Jiuhukia (read the end of the entry for the tips!). It was our first time in Fidgets, simply because it was so far away from us…

Conversations with the husband #13 – Our Harry Potter
And so, the morning right after my son fell down from the bed and became Harry Potter, the husband and I were both feeling super groggy and sleep deprived but managed to struggle to get to work. That morning, the kiddo looked better and doesn’t seemed bothered anymore, which in my opinion, is super good news. I snapped a picture of him and posted this on Instagram before we left the house. The husband drop me off at the train station every morning and somehow, the following conversation started in the car while driving on the road. D: Eh, you know? You now know have a story for your blog with…

Make the change to ultimate comfort with Drypers.
*sponsored post* I realize that I don’t talk much about my second son, Jerome on the blog these days, and I even somewhat stop documenting his milestones so this post is mostly dedicated to him. I know, I’m guilty as charged, but part of the reason is mainly because he don’t talk that much (yet), and part of the reason is because my dear Jerry sticks to me like superglue, leaving me with minimal interaction time with this kid, especially since he is a really good boy and goes down for his bed time or naps with no fuss, all the time. Like this. Or this. Or even better yet.. this.…

My very own Harry Potter!
I’m such a Harry Potter fan and i’m so excited to announce… I now have my very own Harry Potter! We sorta have an accident in the household just 3 nights ago and this is the result of it. What happened?! Well, here’s what. At the strike of midnight, Lord Voldemort came into my bedroom and attacked him! I heard a thud, and then loud, shrieking cries. I’m joking. My dear son, was asleep beside me and he suddenly ROLLED off the bed. It was so dark and I quickly got down to pick him up and thought he was crying a lot harder than usual. At the same time, I…

Cold Storage Kids Run 2014, Gardens by the Bay
We went for the Cold Storage Kids Run this year again! You can read about our last year’s experience but this year was really exciting because it was held at The Meadow, Gardens By the Bay! I signed both the husband and myself up with the kids, and we were really looking forward to all the fun. The husband went for the Singapura Finance Blue Sky Run with Jerry and I went for the S-26 Family Stroller Fun Run. I can’t wait till next year where we can all be in the same race! I didn’t manage to check out much of the activities at the event because we were…
