• I’ve been busy.

and so, if you haven’t already know.. I am back at work since last week. life has been pretty good to me and we didnt have much issues working out the logistics of kids and everything else.   so, the schedule for the past week has been pretty much like this:– 720am: everyone wakes up. daddy makes milk for jerry, I express milk, bathe and get ready for work. – 800am: daddy sends jerry to school and waits for me downstairs once he is done.-815-830am: I bring baby out to my mum if he’s awake or just leaves him in the cot if he’s sleeping and pop downstairs for a…

  • Jerry goes for the Cold Storage Kids Run 2013!

if you have met or seen jerry in real life, you will know that i have a very active boy on my hands. he sprints away for some fun the moment an opportunity opens up, or is ever ready for a game of catching where he runs and mummy/daddy chases after him, or around a pillar (he loves the pillar thing!). so we were really excited that Jerry is finally of age to join the cold storage kids run this year! i was pretty sure he’ll be a champ and run ALL the way, judging at how he loves to run, all the time. turns out, things never quite happens…

  • Jerry’s school outing at the Animal Resort.

On the second week of Jerry starting school, the school had an excursion! Since Jerry is amongst one of the youngest in the school and is the *new* kid, the school didn’t recommend letting him go on the excursion unless i tag along. I knew the excursion would do Jerry good since i always believe in exposing him to nature (as compared to technology) so i signed him (and myself) up! it is a great chance for him to interact with animals in real life and it was also a good opportunity for jerry to get to know his classmates/teachers better. i sure did have an adventure chasing jerry down…

  • A visit to the S.E.A Aquarium.

i have a love for aquariums, and all kinds of marine life if you haven’t already know. but no, i’m not a diver, not yet. or maybe i’ll never be.. who knows? but it doesnt matter. For now, i’m happy checking out the aquariums all over the world. and when S.E.A aquarium opened, i kept bugging the husband to go but we never found the chance with him being really busy at work (and unable to take leave) and us burning our every single weekend to settle the house furniture/electronics and renovations matters. So on Jerry’s birthday, we had wanted to bring him to have some water play fun at…

  • Jerry turns TWO!

this year, i feel guilty about NOT PLANNING his birthday celebration. after the huge spongebob party last year (read about the preparations here), we were simply too overwhelmed with the other events of our lives (caring for a new baby, renovations works, overseas biz trip and reservist for der etc) to find time prepping for it. i had grand ideas of giving him a polw celebration in sentosa but realised that i don’t know enough kids to send invitation to (party package starts from 20 kids onwards). so, we did nothing except to plan for a family only celebration, together with my nephew Levon who’s birthday falls on the same…

  • Jerry feeds himself breakfast in school!

finally, Jerry survives a week in childcare! this morning, the husband dropped him at the door and he wailed for about 30 secs before recovering himself, and all is good thereafter. we cannot be more proud. When i picked him up in the evening, the teacher updated me that there was no tears when he woke up from his nap, but he, as usual napped for a much shorter period than his peers. all is good. I am going to extend his timing and pick him up at 6pm from next week onwards. ending this post with a video i took on wednesday where jerry feeds himself breakfast! Have a…

  • day 2, 3 and 4 of childcare.

jerry just finished day 4 of childcare and over the few days, there were a little progress along the way, everyday. both daddy & me were proud of his little achievements because im sure, its a big thing someone his age!   on day 1, we hung around for about 2hrs and snuck away while he was playing with toys at childcare. it was only for 2 hours and just enough time for us to have eat breakfast and pop over to our new abode to check on the renovation progress. we brought him home after he had his bath and before the nap time. no tears.   on day…

  • Jerry’s first day of school/childcare!

Today is such a momentous day. It marks jerry’s first day of school/childcare. It is also an extremely emotional day for me, which I hadn’t expected I would feel this way. Come to think of it, I spent quite a bit of effort in prepping for his big day, from putting him on wait list, to bugging the schools in giving me a slot, to getting all the enrollment papers done, buying his uniform, his school bag, buying new toiletries/towels etc to be used in the school, ironing on his name labels on everything to packing his bag last night. It was a tedious process, but nothing quite prepared me…

  • another haircut..

jerry’s hair has finally grown out after many many months…  after that horrible hair cut in feb.. if you recall, he looked like the photo below. it took him 3 months to grow it out and look a bit decent. decided that its time for a slight trim since he’s turning 2, and starting childcare next week. this time round, i made sure the usual stylist is around! no more chances.. cannot sit still boy. he startd all proper with the cover and ended up with nothing because he kept tugging for it to come off. i think he hates the velcro thats prickinghim at the back of his neck.…

  • mummy’s notes

in case you are wondering why my blog posts are irregular and mostly at weird timings, its because i cannot find enough pockets of time to write a decent blog post unless the kids are asleep. or, when i am letting jerry have a little tub play like above.. which is what is happening RIGHT NOW.   he just had a haircut and he was rather well behaved so i thought i’ll reward him with some water play (or rather, myself since im using the time to blog).   i wanted to start jotting down notes about our kids, things that happened or developments that i noticed.. mostly for the…
