my lunch.
i am starting to enjoy my lunch outings these days. it’s been a while since i felt that lunch was my happy hour. food is the way to go to make me a happy girl (minus the ulcers please!). =) had lunch with my colleagues at west coast plaza today. i love travelling out for lunch if i could help it. we ordered a set meal for three.. with my favourite spinach, fishmaw & fungi soup, roasted duck leg (YUMS!), steamed fish and gui ling gao for dessert. thought it was a really good deal at $20 each. and WOW, see this glistening rice? last friday! you know, i got a call from him and we eventually decided to meet up cos i missed him so much. enough of my crap. every friday is holland v day because that’s where the school bus will bring us to for lunch. cindy and me weren’t very hungry because we had wholemeal sandwiches in the morning made with love from another colleague (wb), so we choose a place with good desserts (in hv) to rest our butts in. as usual.. in the nonsensical mood. 🙂 the message on cookie monster’s tee was SO me. haha. i jokingly told the waiter that i am bringing cookie monster home…

[LJ2ME] Too close for comfort.
having my lunch at raffles place today. The entire place is bustling with activity with the fast paced human traffic. seated at asian kitchen, the people sitting on my sides are a little too close for comfort, so close you wouldn’t know we are all complete strangers at a glance. I can hear the conversation from 3 tables away. And I have a hongkee sitting next to me.. I’m getting a headache from all the noise. So not used to it.. Think I’m destined to work in ulu places. wow… it’s friday already!
the week literally FLEW by.. and wow, tomorrow it’s friday already! i spent the week recuperating and busy trying to familiarize myself with my nds lite and the many games that der downloaded for me.. >5gb worth! played less than 10 games thus far because of the lack of time, with me battling fatigue and all. last weekend was a great one. weather for last saturday was good, and i brought der to bishan park for some quiet brunch amongst the greens. we had a quiet meal, and enjoyed ourselves tremendously, slowly enjoying our food, not rushing anyway and just enjoying life.. i miss having days like that.. life has…

a month from now..

not cheap
went out for a meal with the family and grocery shopping at ntuc before heading back here. wow. a short trip like that and a meal for 4, i burnt 260 bucks. it kinda hit me that living expenses in singapore aint cheap anymore.. and it’s not like we had sharks fin or something. it was just a meal at the soup restaurant. hmmm.. time to cut back a lot of other spending. :/

birthday lunch treat
