• [GIVEAWAY] a pampering sesh at origins nail spa

3 weeks back at work post maternity leave, i could feel the strain. juggling 2 kids and work aint no easy task and i have been increasingly feeling dog-tired on a daily basis. there are days where i K.O. before i have my dinner (usually together with Jerry when i put him into bed). and just like that. 3 weeks is gone. GOSH. i’ll admit it. it’s mentally draining and hard work keeping to the schedules daily, packing off jerry to child care, full-time work, struggling to produce milk and bagging in enough sleep and doing night feeds for jerome amidst a thousand and one things on my mind. my…

  • my nails in may.

I havent had the time to do individual nail posts anymore… but im still trying to keep up with my personal nail me-time as a mum of two. most days, I only paint when everyone is asleep or when the husband and my mum is both around to help handle the kids. sometimes, its a struggle and I split the removal and painting into 2 days with whatever pockets of time I have. I know, almost sounds like mission impossible right? but I love my nails/polishes too much to leave it bare.   so here’s what I wore on my nails in may! they are mostly simple design because I…

  • manicures.

a quick check and *gasps* its been a long long while since i did a post on my manicures. my last post dated aug 26 last year had me mentioning that it would probably be one of the last pedicure that i’ll be doing in a while, and it kinda gave hints to many about the pregnancy.   while it wasnt really my last pedicure (i still attempted to paint them thereafter) but i didnt think it was a good job done (cant really see properly with the tummy in the way) and i got way too tired to even find time to blog.   at the same time, i…

  • my nails this weekend.

I havent done a nail post for a long time. that’s the amount of time that I havent found the time to do it.   so this morning, I decided to spend some time painting because my polishes have been do neglected. a simple natural looking one to save myself some time. orly Orion natural looking white base layered with opi pirouette my whistle on the tips. this glitter is on the top of my favourites list lately. my toes are done with orly naughty or nice, a deep brownish red with the tips also layered with opi pirouette my whistle. pardon the cuticle oil glistening in the picture.  …

  • trimming those little nails.

with a hyper active kid who is constantly squirming away from you or trying to climb somewhere.. nail trimming is quite the chore.   never mind the fact they don’t stay still, my son snatches the nail scissors away from me before I can do anything so it is definitely a hazard. he somehow loves the scissors! and its cap.   so here’s a useful little tip. I snip his little fingernails and toenails when he is taking his afternoon nap. I can take all the time I want to carefully trim those little nails without a worry of snipping his flesh as compared to when he is awake and…

  • me-time is nail time.

i woke up at 7.30am today and decided that while the entire household is still in snooze land, i am going to paint my nails! at the same time, i decided to take pictures for a step-by-step tutorial. have been dying to try half moons manicures for the longest time, but had never gotten round to it.. i almost never could find the time! so here you go! I didnt cut my nails because i just trim it a week ago, so i just filed it down to neaten it.. base coat. i use seche vite matt finish nail treatment. and yup, some of my nails are peeling from the…

  • Nude nails.

I usually don’t do nude nails because i think it doesn’t go well with my skin colour, but I had a chipped nail and I had to cut it rounded and it doesn’t quite go with the rest of the square fingers so I thought nude colored nail could cover up the flaw. Painted this after a feeble attempt at stickers, which only lasted 30mins because I couldn’t stand the sight of them, plus it was peeling away from the surface after it dried. I barely have time to paint my nails these days! Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

  • Happy new year!

I welcomed the year with a bunch of friends at a BBQ pit near home and laughed till I had stitches. I wished the night didnt end that ‘early’ but a few of us were struggling with bladders that are almost bursting so we had to call it a night. Thank you all for the fun, you know who you are. I got home and took the opportunity to change out my nails. Couldnt decide what I wanted so I did a mishmash of designs for trial. Could I just say I have a new found love leopard prints? And oops. I forgot taking any picture cos I was so…
