although I said in my earlier post that I won’t be doing self-pedicures for a while.. my chipped toe nails and my busy schedule at work changed that. I couldnt stand my chipped toe polishes (and bare nails) and I couldnt find the time to book myself a pedicure session so I attempted to paint my toes again. increasingly difficult feat. the dark knight. me-time is nail time.
i woke up at 7.30am today and decided that while the entire household is still in snooze land, i am going to paint my nails! at the same time, i decided to take pictures for a step-by-step tutorial. have been dying to try half moons manicures for the longest time, but had never gotten round to it.. i almost never could find the time! so here you go! Nude nails.
I usually don’t do nude nails because i think it doesn’t go well with my skin colour, but I had a chipped nail and I had to cut it rounded and it doesn’t quite go with the rest of the square fingers so I thought nude colored nail could cover up the flaw. Painted this after a feeble attempt at stickers, which only lasted 30mins because I couldn’t stand the sight of them, plus it was peeling away from the surface after it dried. Happy new year!
I welcomed the year with a bunch of friends at a BBQ pit near home and laughed till I had stitches. I wished the night didnt end that ‘early’ but a few of us were struggling with bladders that are almost bursting so we had to call it a night. Thank you all for the fun, you know who you are. Quick trial.
Popped by kino today so that hubby can pick up his usual magazine subscriptions. I took the opportunity to check out the nail-related books and stood there for the longest time browsing. Eventually decided to lug home 2 books and 2 magazines since there was 20% discount.. The big bonus was I got them FREE! Hubby decided to pay them for me so I feel really really loved. There were dozens of pretty design and I was so raring to paint them all but I only have 10 fingernails and 10 toenails. Sparkly Christmassy manicure.
I did a sparkly manicure for Christmas after all! Well, something happened earlier and my manicure was all RUINED. It was supposed to be a happy event.. I was unboxing another box of nail polishes that just arrived today but one of the bottles broke and it was a mess. This was my hands after I attempted cleaning up. Before that, I didn’t even dare to touch my phone to snap any pictures. So yeah, my polka dotted French manicure is gone. I’m sorry that I didn’t do the Christmas nails as requested! I didn’t had the time to really trial the nail art and the one that I do attempt to try on a single fell flat because my nail polish was too translucent and there wasnt any depth in the colors and didn’t turn out christmassy at all. Unboxing my box of goodies.
My uncle arrived last night because it’s my granduncle’s birthday today and we all traveled up south to msia to celebrate the occasion. Anyway, I must say the past few days has been rather shitty. My work laptop crashed non stop and my IS couldn’t fix it and I had to back up my entire hard disk so that they can reformat it.
