• Aawwwwww moment.

Was expressing my milk when baby woke and I couldn’t move an inch so I kicked the hubby awake to help. In his sleepy stupor, he grappled for his glasses, went to the cot side, cuddled up the baby and held Jerry close to his chest for a minute and snuggled his face beside the baby’s, the whole scene spewing with love. It had me going awwwwwwww right there. Okie. I think more of such moments do motivate me to get going. Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

  • Random musings of a new mother..

It’s been 10 days with my upgraded status of a mum. The past 10 days have been pretty much a whirlwind, and well, I survived it thus far, another 20 days to go to a month (and end of confinement! Yay!). Don’t be mistaken, I actually quite enjoy it (confinement food has always been my favourite stuff to eat), only grouse is not being able to wash my hands under the tap and drink my favourite plain water. Time zooms past when you have a baby, and on hindsight, aiyah! The most enjoyable days are those in the hospital!! I should have slept my fill then, but it’s near impossible…

  • Day 5 & 6 at home

The past 2 days has been madness.. Hence the radio silence from me on all social media, except a random rant or 2 when I become immobile for 15mins while I am expressing milk. Following the PEP bed arrival and the phototherapy session for Jerry, it was HELL. I was changing diapers every other moment and I think I went through like 10-12 diaper changes (due to discharge of jaundice) in within a short span of 6 hours, coupled that while 2-3 hourly expressing of milk, cuddling and soothing the baby, feeding the baby and washing up stuff.. I didn’t sleep a wink. It does not help that my dear…

  • Day 4 at home!

Technically, we ain’t home! Jerry needs to pop back to TMC for a check up and I’m kinda excited to be heading out of the house. All ready to go! Getting ready to pop out of the house used to be easy when it’s just the 2 of us, 30mins or less is all we need. Now, getting ready is a mammoth task! It took der & me 2 hrs to get everything needed for baby packed, washed, feed him, pump milk, washed everything to be brought out and check and double check everything again. I also had to lug a bottle of red dates and longan tea with me…

  • Day 3 back home

Gosh, first things first.. The weather these days are a killer! I could hardly bear a moment out of my air-conditioned room. Thank goodness I am allowed to on my air-con, if not.. I’ll die of heat stroke first! The other simple pleasure is bathing everyday. I never looked forward to bathing with so much anticipation before, but I am only allowed to bathe once a day, with only half a pail of herb water boiled by my mum. A true test of my water saving skills (especially with my long long mane) but I have survived well thus far. Though it does take a bit getting used to using…

  • The husband and daddy..

Right after Jerry pops out, I can’t decide whether I still love my husband or am starting hate him. Never the bit that his attention was all on the tiny bud since the moment he pop out and forgot about the well-being of the mother (ello, its me!!). Haha. You know, he’s literally glued to his iPad/iPhone all the time.. So I asked.. Hey, now that Jerry is out, are you donna drop your iPad and attend to Jerry? He looked at me and went…can I have an iJerry please?! When he was going to attempt to carry Jerry.. I went, hey, remove your watch (it’s his rolex), wait you…
