3 weeks back at work post maternity leave, i could feel the strain. juggling 2 kids and work aint no easy task and i have been increasingly feeling dog-tired on a daily basis. there are days where i K.O. before i have my dinner (usually together with Jerry when i put him into bed). and just like that. 3 weeks is gone. its not the last afterall..
although I said in my earlier post that I won’t be doing self-pedicures for a while.. my chipped toe nails and my busy schedule at work changed that. I couldnt stand my chipped toe polishes (and bare nails) and I couldnt find the time to book myself a pedicure session so I attempted to paint my toes again. increasingly difficult feat. the dark knight. my nails this weekend.

me-time is nail time.
i woke up at 7.30am today and decided that while the entire household is still in snooze land, i am going to paint my nails! at the same time, i decided to take pictures for a step-by-step tutorial. have been dying to try half moons manicures for the longest time, but had never gotten round to it.. i almost never could find the time! so here you go! A little indulgence
2 days ago, I popped out for a while to get myself pampered. Helps that it was only a stone’s throw away and ultra convenient. I got express manicure done! I should have opt for the full one, but nah, had the muffin duties and was rushing out for a dinner. Happy toes! Probably the last pedicure I can do in a long while! Seeing pink in a brand new light.
Close friends would know that you could hardly spot me in a light colored nail polish because my skin colour doesn’t quite complement it. Last night I tried it again. I bought this bottle of opi during my last opi buying stint (from the states) and decided to get it cos it was very cheap and I guessed it looked okie after all! But seriously, light colours are so much harder to paint than dark colours because the unevenness of the colours will show! My toes in my nine west gladiators. Recycling my nail art.
The recycling was unintentional. Was trying to remove the pedicure over cny while I was at my grandpa’s place and realised I was unable to remove the nail art. Without a scraper with me, I came up with the brilliant idea of just painting the tips (and around the nail art), and coat the nail with a top coat so that i’ll get a new look for the cny. Went to shuhui’s place for an express pedicure this evening before she shut the shop and headed to dinner with weiling, stella and me. Very pretty nails i now have, though my picture really don’t do any justice. Loves the glitters and jewels popping on my big toes. =) If you want some good manicure services in the midst of shopping at orchard, you can pop down to nail enchantment at far east plaza, #04-95. Guess what? I went in heels and came back with slippers cos she sells cheap & pretty flip flops too so your pretty pedicure doesn’t get ruined! [mobile post @ my room]
