happy moments.
while this has been a tiring week, little joys in life sure do help to perk the day up. the boy surprised me on monday morning when he left a note in my bathroom mirror.. it sure started my monday on a very sweet note. never mind that the message has grammatical errors. haha. the specky pig that he drew was so hilarious. baby, thank you for being so sweet and endearing. and thanks for offering to drive me to work (although it didn’t materialise). it’s really the thought that counts! am missing you now. wished i could fly to europe now! and when i got into office, mr bean…

because i cannot really move around..
i’m flopped in bed, surfing around on my laptop and trying to sort more than 1GB of pictures taken from yesterday’s wakeboarding sesh. and while i sort them up and load it into my flickr, i just post more on my foodie pictures of the past weeks. 23rd mar 09 was going to head home when my colleague offered a ride to the train station, only to find myself trapped in the car and heading towards OUTRAM, because my colleague has to drop her boss off and in the end, we just decided to head for dinner before heading home. in the end, we ended up joining her boss and…

because i am free…
there are like tonnes of stuff that i wanted to jot down here for remembrance, but time isn’t a luxury. sometimes, i just wish money could buy more time… but i guess one can only trade money (don’t work) for more time. these days, i get the writer’s blog. when i’m damn busy, my mind likes to multi-task and ponder about things that i would like to blog about. but when the time comes for me to be at rest, and actually face the computer, i completely forget what it was that i wanted to jot down. =/ anyway, this is random. i just wanted to blog about all the…

my lunch.
i am starting to enjoy my lunch outings these days. it’s been a while since i felt that lunch was my happy hour. food is the way to go to make me a happy girl (minus the ulcers please!). =) had lunch with my colleagues at west coast plaza today. i love travelling out for lunch if i could help it. we ordered a set meal for three.. with my favourite spinach, fishmaw & fungi soup, roasted duck leg (YUMS!), steamed fish and gui ling gao for dessert. thought it was a really good deal at $20 each. and WOW, see this glistening rice? Looks damn good right? but taste…

the sat night fun at marina barrage.
it was my virgin trip there. an impromptu one though, because i would have lugged my SLR there if i had known about the trip. anyhow, the place was nothing to boot about. it just had a nice view of downtown, complete with the singapore flyer and “sea” view. the place was overly crowded to be enjoyable, people are talking loudly, kids running around, teenagers playing a fool with their friends.. and a few quiet couples trying to be romantic amidst the noise. for agnes, der and me… it’s just picture moments with my shoddy panasonic lumix. view full set of pictures here the night ended with shopping at mustafa.…

afternoon tea…
the weekend was packed and great. in some sense. i kinda wished sunday afternoon was a lot slower… der & me met jen for a cuppa and scones.. only to realise that the place serve scones with raisins.. which she don’t take. :/ anyhow, we went to a new place that i found online.. and decided to check it out since we didn’t have anywhere to go. fosters, an english rose cafe the place is anciently decorated with furnishings that makes you feel like you have been transported to ancient england. but then, i never been to england so i am guessing it based on what i see from teevee.…

chilling at seletar dam.
i have been wanting to get my taste buds on bewurztraminer wine (with hints of lychee) for the longest time. haven’t had it for ages and last week, i dragged der to go chill. only to find the wine haunt really packed, so i carried away 3 bottles of this goodness! i asked agnes to join us and we ended up chilling at seletar dam, complete with my picnic basket, ice box (to chill the wine), wine glasses, floor mat, and chairs… and my nikon d80. i totally forgot to bring my scrabble there or any board games to just ease the time. only got my nds which had agnes…

dinner with raf at dempsey…
or the counselling session that he wanted, rather. we had dome for dinner, a quick one with him mostly reading magazines and then surfing on his mobile phone. hur. weirdly enough, i wasn’t up to my usual gorging stint and all i had was a tomato pepperoni pasta which i didn’t even finish and an aloe vera lime drink that i donated to raf after a sip (it has soda water and is carbonated!). the original plan of watching marley & me in Yishun was aborted because der was still having dinner with his friends in tampines. so, raf zipped me to tampines instead to meet der and we watched…

work life balance.
i came home with the intention to go on a blog roll with many happy entries and got triggered by something else, so i have a really unhappy thing to blog about to. anyway, i’ll start with the happy ones! i thought today is a perfect day of work-life balance, because i got work done as usual, hanged out with my favourite babe for laughters and angry exchanges about our day-to-day life, came home and did domestic stuff, and i still had the time to leisurely sit in front of the computer to surf, upload pictures and blog. perfect. the most perfect part was satisfying my cravings for scones with…
