• My new MA girl…

During a major briefing today, i drew a little smiley on my MA’s notebook to cheer her up. She seemed stressed up and tired every day.. She smiled and then added to the drawing. An arrow and my name and a frowning smiley and her name. Haha. Seems like she’s really stressed up, even though it’s the 2nd week of work only.. This is bad.. [mobile post @ kj training room]

  • wow… it’s friday already!

the week literally FLEW by.. and wow, tomorrow it’s friday already! i spent the week recuperating and busy trying to familiarize myself with my nds lite and the many games that der downloaded for me.. >5gb worth! played less than 10 games thus far because of the lack of time, with me battling fatigue and all. last weekend was a great one. weather for last saturday was good, and i brought der to bishan park for some quiet brunch amongst the greens. we had a quiet meal, and enjoyed ourselves tremendously, slowly enjoying our food, not rushing anyway and just enjoying life.. i miss having days like that.. life has…

  • bangkok, sept 21 – 23

the bangkok trip is gonna be my last work trip this year. moving onwards, i doubt i’ll get to travel at all and it is a tad sad thinking abt it. the trip to bangkok was a really last minute one, where i am activated to fly under 36 hours, and probably the only work trip where i had to source for tickets and book the accommodation by ourselves, without the help of the ceo’s secretary. we arrived on a sunday, thanks to yours truly, because i wanted to be there earlier.. which turned out to be a really good thing because that was the only day that was a…

  • a month from now..

i think the thing that i will miss a lot is all those long lunches, trying of all the various restaurants and enjoy eating. i think it will be good news for my waistline, but it might potentially turn my days into mundane and boring ones since my lunch is always seen as a perk for the day. anyhow, here’s some pictures taken some time last month? lunch tea (around 3pm!) at hard rock cafe.. and when we were throwing a team farewell lunch for kara.. she chose turkish food, so we headed to SOFRA at shaw towers. and being the team culture, we ordered everything that we could potentially…

  • restless

i think i slept too much yesterday that i spent the day battling a bad headache and feeling restless. had been relatively quiet here, because i had been busying myself with projectjen, a scrapbook that i created and sent to print.. as a farewell gift for my favourite colleague. maybe i was too much of a perfectionist, maybe i just wanted it to look good.. i spent nights and nights losing sleep over choosing the photos that would go into the book, cropping, editing, DI-ing the images and making sure it capture all the memories of hers. it wasn’t perfect because of the lack of time on my end, there…

  • mid autumn celebrations

it’s a busy sunday despite me holing up in the house the entire day. there are just too much to be done. damn. why is the weekend always so short? anyway, thought i better blog about this first.. since the rest are waiting for the pictures (i assume!). =) i spent sat’s night by the peaceful waters of lower pierce reservoir with a bunch of friends to celebrate mid-autumn festival! i must say der was extremely diligent in making sure the event’s a success! he bought mooncakes for everyone, and packed along a teapot of piping hot tea, mini teacups and of cos, lanterns, candles and sparklers for all to…

  • taipei, day 5 aka last day

am a little thankful for the 2 days MC, because it allows me to take things slow, not stress myself over work (even though i replied a few emails), and simply rest and rest. 🙂 day 5, also our last day in taipei, i DRAGGED der to the zoo! yes. you heard me right, i went to the zoo. and knowing that i am not a fast food fan, day 5 was also a day filled with fast food. Mcdonalds for our breakfast! time to buy lottery already because i am eating fast food. i had the usual hotcakes (at least that’s something no so “fast-foody”), and also ordered a…

  • taiwan, day 4 (part 2)

before popping over to 淡水渔人码头, we passed by this surf beach where a lot of beach boys and girls were surfing. it was far from the scene that you see in singapore. and you know, me being ME, i wanted to take peektures!! wahhaha. so cheng chieh stopped the car by the side of the road and we popped out for some quick photo-taking! 😛 our reflection in the car window, you can see a faint outline of cheng chieh in the car if u look closely. 🙂 and der looked surprisingly fat in this picture! haha. some interesting sculptures that we saw further down the journey.. when we finally…

  • taipei, day 4 (part 1)

day 4 of taiwan entails an unexpected trail of events. what was supposed to be a relaxing day turned out to be the most packed and rushed day. the day started slow and we headed to taipei main station for some underground shopping. i spotted the first quickly bubble tea shop here! reminds me of the bubble craze in singapore many years back. we quickly moved on to 新光三越百货 for more shopping (13 levels)! BUT..BUT.. i didnt buy anything. der bought a porter bag and although i was really tempted to grab one too, i didnt think there were enough occasions to warrant a casual porter bag into my life!…
