Packed!
Hospital bag, all packed! I actually packed it 2 weeks back and was adding stuff in it every other day…the bag just got bigger by the day and I had to switch to the biggest longchamp bag that I own.. Today, it’s all done! All ready to grab and run.. Except that I actually won’t be running. Not when I’m in pain I think, IF I’m in pain. Am really not sure what to expect.. Meanwhile, I’m reminding the hubby to dump in my gadgets on the actual day! Netbook + charger, camera + charger, my phone charger and a book! Guess you can tell where my priorities are! Posted…

Hello week 37!
Time flies! The countdown ticker is now at 3 weeks! The app says that the baby is estimated to be about 3kg! The last time I saw my gynae (3 weeks back), the baby is only 1.8kg! It sure didn’t feel like he has grown so heavy! I really can’t wait for the next gynae visit. There are times where I feel like just making an appointment and some excuse to see him and view Jerry through the ultrasound (not much chances left too) but it’s a tad silly and I really don’t need to see him. His time should be better left to other mothers who are genunienly in…

The last big purchase for Jerry!
Been meaning to blog this down but I seemed to be really tired these days. I guess all that sleepless nights (waking in the wee hours of 4am everyday) is taking a toil on me as the weeks and months passes, especially since work has been equally draining and I had to force myself to concentrate in order to meet those deadlines. Am also stressing out about my long overdue claims (I’m so not diligent in that matter) and stuff like packing up my desk, and starting to work on my handover.. Feels a little deja vu because this was exactly what happened last year when I was prepping for…

At week 36!
The weekend has been real tiring! In gist, it’s much baby related! As usual…. Antenatal class on Saturdays. 1 more class to go and we’re done! l spent the late afternoon folding and packing the baby diapers yesterday with a date night out with hubby for a play. Details in a separate post, when I find more energy. Am so ready to crash right now.. That’s all the cloth diapers I have! The blue ones are towels and baby wraps that I got/was gifted. It looks like a lot, but I’m not sure if it’s sufficient to turn around for use. See? The baby goes through many diapers change and…

random thoughts. and also about the boy.
uh no. you know.. the whole bit of the pregnancy process is a very very steep learning curve. there’s just so much to learn/read about pregnancy, the birthing process, nutrition, baby care, baby needs and so much so much more. i realised that i am learning new things daily and there is just so much more out there. google is like my pregnancy dictionary right from the start, even the various clinics and gynaes choices out there freak you out. day in day out, i try to cramp in as much additional information i can into my brain about the whole pregnancy process.. there are other stuff like training your…

At week 35!
I am running out of clothes to wear at home! All the big roomy tees are taut at the tummy area and I have taken to sleeping with the tummy out in the open at night in the comfort of my room because it’s a lot more comfortable than to have a tight shirt around it. Not much growth in the past one week tummy-wise, I didn’t weigh myself but I find it harder and harder to stand for long periods of time, and am starting to find myself a little more breathless. The baby’s squishing my lungs!! Other than the gastric juice reflux/heartburn and vomiting (which resulted in major…

And the swim plans took a back seat..
I woke up early this morning and took the opportunity to quickly sort out another bag of hand-me-downs that I received last night for Jerry. Actually wanted to just sort them before waking the boy for the usual swim but I guess I was too noisy and woke the boy and we got into a sorting and washing frenzy! Tiring but fun! Putting them out to sun. We hand-washed everything here! This is the 2nd batch of clothes in the wash. My mum did the first batch which had all the small delicate mittens and booties and small wash towels. There’s still a few basket-loads of baby laundry to be…

Big and round!
Week 34 – Here’s how the tummy is measuring at the moment! I’m past the 30+” mark and officially hit 40″! I think the bump does look rather massive from the side view.. Interestingly, the aunties that I meet everywhere (in office/pantry aunties/in coffeeshop when I order food or simply random strangers) like to stare at my tummy and ask when I’m due and if is a boy.. Oh, during the last gynae visit, the doc complimented on my tummy skin.. He said, oh.. What did you do?! Your tummy is looking very pretty and your skin is very good! It caught me by surprise and I think I just…

Choo Choo..
Baby shopping. We are at it every other weekend.. Striking off an item or two each time.. Or loading up frivolous stuff randomly. Last weekend, we thronged the taka baby fair but it was too crowded and too hazardous with everyone squeezing all over, knocking into things and people, people pushing their way through and the cramp aisles.. I promptly left in less than 15mins. I rather pay more than go through the torture! Besides, I think they should have wider aisles for people to walk because everyone I see in there is either spotting a big tummy, baby stroller in hand inching their way around or having a baby…
