Presents! Jerry’s first nike and more!
my brother who is quite the sneaker fan (he has hundreds of them in different color combination that lines the walls of his room, bought his nephew his first pair of Nike sneakers. Omg. It’s so cute!! I cannot wait till the moment when my boy can wear these. I think at least when he is 9-12months old, meanwhile, mummy here is ogling at the shoes every time I catch the sight of it lying in one corner of the room. Together with the rest of the presents. And oh! Talking about presents, I actually got the items off my wish list – the bumbo chair (in lime green.. Can’t…

It’s Jerry.. No! It’s Richie Choo.
Private joke between the husband and me. We have gotten round to addressing our son as Richie Choo instead of Jerry Choo. He has amassed quite a fortune ever since he was born and the amount of gifts we have received since his birth has been pilling at one corner of my room and almost taking up all the walking space that’s available. I have no clue how to clear them and no space to store them! While some of the stuff won’t be useful till he’s older, the rest of the stuff we don’t really need so it’s quite a headache! Sigh. Anyway, Jerry got his first piece of…

Received some love last week from my aunt in Netherlands. I never got round to blogging about it with all the fatigue I was battling and the rough week I had. And so, she painstakingly sent Jerry some presents! She sent a parcel to a friend and my stuff took a free ride along with the stuff and had her friend pop over to pass me the gifts! It was special.. She sent me some baby shower chocolates from netherlands. Those who went to my wedding would have tasted the Dutch bridal sweets that I served before the dinner and now, Jerry got some really special Dutch baby shower chocolates…

of party woes
i really should have known better. after all, i organized that many events in my job but i didn’t do any prep work for the full month party until it was wayyyyyyy too late. *sigh* ok. it was also coupled with the fact that it was major adjustment on my end with my new role as a mother grappling on all baby-related issues, rolled together with all-time fatigue that i am feeling. man, it’s exhausting. besides, the man aint helping. he left everything to my device, didn’t help source or suggest anything at all (other than to provide the defacto venue suggestion) and didn’t give much comments even when presented…

My sweet hubby.
I have always been a big fan of roasted duck and I haven’t ate any for the longest time ever since I got preggers, because of a miscommunication between my mum and me. She kept telling me that I should avoid duck meat because they are oh-so-toxic. I was rather bummed out and made der promise that he’ll bring me on a trip to hong kong to feast on their roasted goose before the end of the year. It’s many times nicer than a roasted duck and besides it’s been ages since we last went hk.. The last time i went, i lugged back 3 big birds for the family…

Sending happiness along someone’s way!
Don’t you love it when you do a small act and attain happiness when you send happiness in someone’s way? Sent out a bouquet of flowers last week to cheer kristy up on her birthday! It was drama to send these flowers because I have NO CLUE what her address was, so I based it on guesswork and had the florist call up to double confirm before the delivery. Of cos, the address was so wrong (one street away) but the flowers got to her still, and made her a very happy girl! She told der – if I didn’t receive any flowers today, I can’t sleep and would go…

The smelly little one gets new clothes!
After years of searching, we finally found a top that fits x.silly! I have been wanting to clothe him, mainly to prevent his disintegration that fast.. And to protect his ‘fur’ so that he doesn’t need to go into the wash so frequent and wear out faster.. But he’s like so so tiny and hardly anything fits! We found really tiny baby socks for him in Europe while we were on honeymoon (finally after 3 years of search) and he looks damn cute in them.. The other day, we managed to find this t-shirt hanging mobile.. And decided to buy it! Incidentally, it’s the last piece and it says, pregnant…

Presents for Jerry from auntie Jen!
I think all babies are lucky beings. They are always being gifted with presents before they are out! Mum here ain’t so lucky because my dear Jen went Xiamen and I didn’t get a present! Jerry has not 1 but 2 presents from her! Unfair! Mr bunny here is totally baby friendly, no eyes, buttons or small parts. I haven’t thought of a name for him yet. Currently, he’s occupying Jerry’s bed! And he got another onesie too! It says suitors in q! I’m quite sure daddy will agree with that tagline cos he thinks Jerry is sure to take after his traits! More clothes for my boy.. The wardrobe…

Cheap thrill, really!
Before I forget.. Just an interesting trivial for my records.. The whole Singapore is out of stock for cotton disposable undies! Have been searching for weeks across the various guardian pharmacies and watsons and today, a nice shop assistant in guardian confirmed that the stocks are out for the past one month! The only ones available are in paper quality which I am refusing to accept. Oh wells, so much so for prepping my hospital bag. Am going to send the boy to help me buy in msia.. I saw it the other day but ran out of my size. Did anyone realized that it’s a freaking hot day today?…

My simple vday..
I started the day pulling myself out of bed with only 3hrs sleep at 530am in the morning. Yay! He’s finally back from a one week trip. I hope it’s the last for the next few months since we are not far from d-day. Headed to the airport to give the boy a surprise (but his plane landed 50 mins earlier and I was caught halfway when he texted me). I had to reply because I didn’t want to risk missing him at the airport, so surprise blown. =( Headed for a quick brekkie before I quickly popped back home to prep for the work day and the boy sent…
