the completed gift
keep forgetting to post this.. but this was the completed cross-stitch that i gave jen for christmas. she finally took a picture of it for me after she bought herself a new camera! think it’s such a pretty thing after its been framed.. hahhaa. ok. dun throw stones at me please!

haircut
am going to snip my hair tomorrow. to some short shoulder length hair and front fringe.. something like what i used to have, but shorter. just touching or above the shoulders. hopefully, i don’t regret the decision. am really sick of my hair dropping all over the house and the painful task of spending slightly over 10 mins to blowing dry my hair everyday. ok. am going out for shopping now. everyone have fun ya?

of spring cleaning and cny
i have been spring cleaning my room for the last couple of months, had new sheets for the new year.. bought some new furniture for my room and packed it nicely. less some things that has to be thrown out, i think i am almost ready to welcome in the new year. but, i haven’t felt the cny mood. i haven’t bought my new year clothes. nails undone, hair uncut. and there are so many reports for me to submit the moment that i am back from the holidays that i am literally screaming inside myself against the workload. want to burn them all. ha! ok. back to cleaning and…

im such a sucker
after the 3 months free flickr pro that i enjoyed… i went into withdrawal symptoms today when all my photo sets went missing.. and so, i bit the bullet, took out my card and paid for not ONE, but 2 years of flickr pro account. please tell me its cos the usd is very low. 😛 im such a sucker. urgh.

It’s dark
Look at the sky.. I slept 2 hours last night and struggled to wake at 5.45am. My eyes are so tired from the lack of sleep the entire week that i can’t open my left eye. It’s painful and annoying. I hope it’s better in 1-2 hours time. For now, i’m blinded in one eye!! The only good news is that my nightmare will soon be over and done with. Just a couple of hours more. I’m doing the drill of mentally rehearsal all the items, things that need to be done in the process. My mind feels fried and it’s been so tight recently that i actually worry about…

Self discovery
As i sit in a taxi stuck in the morning jam.. I realised that i haven’t been wearing pants to work for the lo000oongest time.. And that someone who used to think she doesn’t look nice in dresses wears them so frequently now. Changes. It happens before you realised it. Grr.. I hate morning traffic.. 1st post of 2008 & Happy New Year
it’s the first journal entry of the year! i embraced the start of the year in a shell station while the car is being washed. made my first purchase of the year in mustafa and bought another watch for myself. while everyone has been making new year resolutions.. i think there is only one new year resolution that’s suitable for me. that is… stop making frivolous purchases/save more money. frivolous purchases meaning.. – shoes (too much, too much of them!!!) – watches (read above) – stuff that i fancy but don’t need in the upcoming posts.. if i still have the energy to blog.. you will know why.. and so,…

finally
i always thought it is very depressing to be in the job i am.. because my boss is someone who hardly dish out encouraging notes or compliments. the other day.. she came up with the idea of recognition for our restaurant managers, to encourage them for the tough year that we went through, and of cos.. the fantastic results that they have achieved. i coordinated the entire award thingy, getting people to vote. well, little did i know that my team was also being voted by others. and… i was being presented the following award. the 3 other awards were..
