breaking the silence..
with a short note from me. spent the weekend paying the sleep debt! gawd, i wished i didn’t have to wake.. (hee.. *choy*) the weekend was spent in the company of movies (new moon & 2012!!), sleep, loads of me-time, some shopping (in shops and online), and trying to catch up on my work. it’s been a tiring month thus far, but i must hang in there because the worst is yet to be over. movies! new moon was great, but somehow.. edward doesn’t seemed to be as handsome as I thought him to be in twilight. (oops. i can feel the stares coming from some girls). i haven’t read…

the weekend.
these days, the weekend goes by in a flash! the weekend saw more jewellery shopping and it’s no where near improving things as per last weekend. i guess we are pretty decided on the kind of designs that we could consider, the specific ones and possibly customizing one side of it. his side. // friday night. the 3 musketeers go out to play. we popped by greenwood fish market and bistro. WOW! has it been ages since i last went there? the place expanded so much that I almost couldn’t recognise what used to be a cosy nook. and despite increasing the sitting capacity by 200%, they are still turning…

the weekend
all i did was 4 things. 1. shopping 2. mahjong 3. eat 4. sleep and the interesting thing? I spent not a single cent on shopping and all we ever got was a $1 ice cream for me. it was meant to be a window shopping day, because we had wanted to check out some of the rings that we were looking at and see if der would be able to get it during his trip in october. i know it’s way too early, but since we had nothing better to spend our time with and we really didnt know what we would like/prefer/want.. it’s always good to shop around…

my loots from hk.
everyone has been asking if hk was fun. it was nothing much except sight-seeing. contrary to the usual belief of eating non stop and shopping non stop.. i didn’t do that. food consisted mainly of the hotel breakfast and random snack here and there. i only had dim sum on the last day for lunch and only visited a ‘cha chang teng’ (tea house) once for gong zai mien. i only got about 5 hours of shopping time (travelling included) and well.. i just grabbed whatever i could. and tadah! these are my loots. a cherry tomato plant! this is the first thing i bought in hk.. at just S$3!…

the birthday present for myself.
i always like to buy myself an early birthday present. if a birthday is not enough reason to pamper myself, i don’t know what is. and so, presenting my own present for the year! pic from www.engadget.com wanted the ruby red version but unfortunately it is not out yet, so i had to settle for the white one. it’s sucha breeze carrying this around! my only grouse for the moment is that i wished it had more usb ports and that my long fingers are trying to adjust to the small keyboard.

the weekend (part 3)
sunday started for me way before the sun was up. at 5am, i was staring into the ceiling of my room and hearing the household stirring and my mum knocking on my door at 5.30am. we planned a visit to my grandpa’s house (yes, again!) since last week when mum and brother was there, grandpa had an accident with the new car. i guess the change from some 70+ years of driving a manual car makes it hard to change his driving habits to adapt to an auto car. while a brand new car was crashed, we were more concerned with grandpa so we decided to visit again to provide…

lethargic!
the ban on exercising is getting to me. it’s been only 7 days since and i am feeling so restless. *stares at hula hoop* sigh. just when i thought i have the perfect opportunity to spend some me time, to go swimming, blading, or whatever.. i cannot do a single thing. so, been drifting in and outta bed today. not sure why i am so tired. i cannot seemed to get enough sleep. i enjoy waking up and heading to the market on weekend. do you enjoy going to the markets? as in wet markets? shall create a poll and check it out later. me? i prefer the wet markets.…

of happy things (to me).
just thought i’ll just blog about mindless/silly and happy things to keep myself occupied. der is in china, so i have a little bit more of spare time to add some words to my space here. i am beginning to feel like a mother. except that i have no real kids. you know, after a hard day of work, a mother is usually happy to be home and spending time with the family/kids. me? everyday when i get home and be greeted with this sight, the frustrations of the day just melts away and i’ll be grinning all the time. especially so now that der is away. he is usually…

JB trip
funny how i told der that i must bring camera along… but realised that i didn’t take a single picture of the trip. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? haha. i think i was just too tired and because the places that we went were the usual haunts.. my cammie instinct didn’t come out. so.. it was supposed to be a shopping day. we started it the day off with ah koong (西刀鱼圆面) for lunch. it wasn’t as tasty as the last time i remembered it to be. maybe cos i order the wrong combination (soup vs dry). and off we are to tebrau city. picture taken from justco.com i didn’t…
