New Year’s Eve (NYE).
What were you doing? Partying at some happening countdown? I didn’t plan for anything at all. Not until that afternoon when Jerry kept asking for Gorgor Issac. He has been asking for him non stop! He somehow likes to invite people to our house so he is always asking if who who who is coming to our house. So I sent a text to Irene and they didn’t have anything planned and I invited them over to spend the evening together with my kids, and maybe have dinner together. My Sunday evening..
It’s pouring outside, and I’m feeling all warm and happy inside the house.. Because… I’m eating steamboat! Perfect evening in my books. Here’s what I have got in my pot.. Wong bok (Chinese cabbage) and duo-colored sweet corn (I swear by them but they are expensive stuff!). Egg tofu, chicken franks, and baby corn. King oyster mushrooms, fresh shiitake mushrooms, and green leafy choy sum vegetables. Fish balls and my favorite must-have ‘Tao ki’ (must be deep fried prior, I am anal on such stuff) And a tray of yummy pork belly slices. Look at all the marbling! Last but not least, the condiments! Happy lunch with Agnes!
To chase the monday blues away.. I had a great albeit expensive lunch! It was happy lunch with Agnes! The girl is so busy these days, I seriously cannot remember when is the last time I had lunch with her.. Steamboat lunch at Xian de Lai @ nex! Love! Happy happy lunch! feeling homely
mum is stuck n rengam again. with the late afternoon train termination, i think mum would be spending a whole lot more time with ah gong and ah ma in rengam every time she heads there. it would also means more home alone sessions for me. today, i felt homely after touring the shelfs of NTUC Finest at BTP. am inspired to cook some steamboat for dinner and i came home with heavy grocery bags and a big hole outta my wallet. prepared all the ingredients, washed the vegetables, cut up the necessary and i’m all ready to eat in a while. feels good to be cooking! reminds me of…

feverish
i am running a slight temperature (37.6) and it sure feels more cold that it already is. my nose and eyes feels like its burning and for the entire day today, i ate nothing and drank only warm water. funny that i didn’t feel hungry at all and when i tried to eat some vinegar chips earlier.. i almost puked again. :/ steamboat in the house for dinner tonight. i do hope i can swallow some of my favourite foodies.

the steamboat dinner with the LJ gang

headache but glad
i’ve decided to start the not so perfect monday morning by blogging! my head weighs heavier than usual, prob resulted from a late night and not enough sleep. -interrupted by a phone call with a colleague complaining abt a customer- Oops. after that 10 mins phonecall, i lost my train of thoughts. urgh! -stones- the weekend is like a roller coaster ride. one min im all cheery and hip, the next moment down and sad. and thanks to all those that spent time talking to me. appreciate you people for instilling confidence in me and getting me all geared up to face the future. i feel energised! and ant, i’m…
