Day 4 in Bali – Dining in Bali (Last day of Babymoon)
Weird that I am finishing up my babymoon episode faster than the honeymoon episodes because the Europe trip has many more days to go and there’s just too many details because we were out and about everywhere and it takes a while to write while the bali trip has been nothing but food (dining in bali), eat, sleep and swim. On our last full day in Bali, we headed for lunch at wah wah burger, a restaurant that serves wagyu beef burgers and apparently is one of the most expensive burgers available or that many people has eaten. I do agree with the price tag (that’s it’s exorbitant)! That’s the…

Day 3 in Bali.. Our Bali vacation –
It’s my 2nd attempt drafting this and I do hope my phone app doesn’t have any error and eat up my Bali vacation entry like the last time! We had out for lunch in the late afternoon after a short swim. That typically has been our routine for the days spent in Bali.. I was craving for some local food and the cafe (Brasserie & Lounge) that we had lunch the day before do serve them so we headed back there! My caramel mikshake and the standard cola for der. It was a bad mistake because I think I felt sick right after all that milk on a near empty…

Life in Bali – Vacation location for Babymoon
This Bali vacation is considered one of the most unplanned trip I ever had. I mean, I was planning for a trip and I knew I had to get away before I couldn’t travel at all. It was also the boy’s birthday and I wanted to plan a surprise… But I guess planning surprises doesnt really work hand in hand with my work schedule. Ever since I got back from the honeymoon.. I have been smacked right into the flurry of activities at work.. Everyone started going on leave, clearing all their leaves before the year ends and it was especially bad, because my co had had the policy of…

Europe Honeymoon – day 2 in Rome
Day 2 of our Europe honeymoon – We ventured out to get our Roma pass. This is a must if you are visiting the touristy places and travelling via the metro. It’s available at most newstands and it’s 25€. In return, you’ll get a Roma pass that is valid for 3 days (upon activation) that allows numerous trips on all public transport (in our case, metro rides), and gives you access to museums and archaeological sites. We visited many places with this and didn’t had to pay a single cent for entrance! Together with the package, there is an Internet access card that gives you information about shows and other…

Our Rome Holiday – Honeymoon in Rome
It’s been a while… The last post on our rome holiday aka honeymoon has been a long while back. Since homecoming, work has been really busy and with my colleague being on leave for 2 weeks and with the boy leaving for aussieland for work, birthday parties to attend, weekend events for work.. And catching up with our parents over weekend dinners. I barely had the time to rest properly, let alone blog. These days, I hit the bed at 10+pm or before midnight if I can manage it because I’m just so drained and I think stress is also causing very bad migraines for me daily so I have…

Useful Travel information on Istanbul..
here’s some useful travel information on Istanbul and because i didn’t really enjoy istanbul as much as i should since i fell sick, i am going to share the research that i did here for the trip, mostly for the benefit of kenties and whoever might be heading towards istanbul in the near future (though i think it’s not a common travel destination amongst the people i know and even kenties is going there because of work). nonetheless, here’s some of the places that i was planning to visit, in no order of preference. 1. hagia sophia (aya sofya). used to be an orthodox patriarchal basilica, then a mosque.. today…

More about istanbul..
Am v sleepy right now because der & me played late night mahjong the whole night last night and this morning, i was up bright and early and somehow, the time just passed me by… Argh! Give me back my sunday!! Am so not ready to head back to work yet. There are just too many mosques in istanbul and there’s one at every other corner. Der wasnt keen to pop in so all we did was stand outside, look at the architecture and read about some of them from the signages and information boards available. Being sick, it didnt help that i was cranky and frustrated most of the…

The city of istanbul..
Am gonna skip talking about rome & paris first (thats 10 days of the trip) and talk about istanbul first for the benefit of kenties who will be popping by next week. When we first got into istanbul, it was dry and hot, which was a stark difference from paris where we were freezing our arses off. The streets are quite typical of most cities and strangely, it felt like i was in an asian country instead. They had many tall buildings that resembled our hdb flats (but not as tall but with nice looking exterior), so i couldnt help resist asking the taxi driver if these were apartments that…

Do you know?!
The city of venice is shaped like a fish! The grand canal in the morning, when the bustling activities have yet to start and the canal is still relatively quiet. My lone luggage against the train station as backdrop. Its so quiet at 7+ in the morning. On train leaving for rome.. Lovely city. I think i do want to come back some day.
