In shanghai.
Arrived in shanghai yesterday afternoon.. And spent my first hour going through bad traffic and horrible driving to get to Bernice’s apartment in huai hai. We chilled the evening away in her nice ascott apartment before heading out for my favorite steamboat dinner at hai di lao at 金玉兰广场。 While the prices ain’t cheap, I must say the service is exemplary. They really amaze me with the little things they do.. First, I had my jacket and bag in the chair next to me so they provided a cloth to cover up the stuff and gave me an apron to wear so that my clothes will not be dirty.. Then,…

Happy 10 months!
Jerry turns 10 months today! Ever since 2012 swung by, my journal has been declared dead. I barely had the time to do any updates and I consistently missed 2 months of updates of jerry. I feel so bad about it but I barely clocked in enough sleep to survive, and it’s been radio silence on social media front for a long time. I sure got a hyper baby in my hands! From 8 months on, the baby has been clambering everywhere and steps on everything he got get his feet on, my face included. I sometimes think I just might die under his tiny feet some day. I did…

Nude nails.
I usually don’t do nude nails because i think it doesn’t go well with my skin colour, but I had a chipped nail and I had to cut it rounded and it doesn’t quite go with the rest of the square fingers so I thought nude colored nail could cover up the flaw. Painted this after a feeble attempt at stickers, which only lasted 30mins because I couldn’t stand the sight of them, plus it was peeling away from the surface after it dried. I barely have time to paint my nails these days! Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

Happy new year!
It’s a little slow, but happy Chinese new year people! The Choos are busy traveling all over for visiting and are majorly sleep deprived, baby included! We are planning a getaway trip within the next few days too. It’s gonna be loads of fun! Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

My mum’s invention.
Drool is a big part of my life at this point in time. Jerry has been drooling so much lately, I sometimes wonder if he gets dehydrated from all the liquid loss. He wets his bib ever so frequently and my mum couldn’t launder them fast enough, especially with the erratic weather these days, so she ‘recycles’ his rompers from the night before (the ones Jerry wears to bed with), turn it upside down and let him wear it as a bib to collect his drool. Know what? I personally think its a brilliant idea, environmentally and pocket friendly too! If you try out this idea as well, let me…

The bed snatcher.
Had yet another sleepless night. Baby was cranky and refused to settle. Eventually had to put him in my bed cos I was sooo tired from carrying him. He knocked out and woke every time I tried to put him back into his cot. I gave up from trying and collapsed beside the baby. And no, I didn’t sleep well cos he was kicking me the entire night and I was semi conscious the whole time as well thinking an fearing that he would fall off the bed. I am pretty stoned today. I hope to go home early today! Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

The first battle scar
Came gone today and found a 4cm gash on his face, from the corner of his eye and it’s quite swollen with some part of it blue-black. And my mum only left him for a minute when she went to the kitchen. Sigh. My hyper son just doesn’t stop. He has accumulated quite a bit of wounds all over. I guess there’s more to come. I have yet to document down his 8th months milestones, but the biggest achievement is getting himself OUT of the exersaucer when no one is looking and exploring around the house on his own. Freaked my mum out totally. Guess its time to child proof…
