week 6 update – Baby Jerry
week 6 is a week of outings! Jerry had quite an adventure as he jets out in his maclaren stroller almost daily! Meanwhile, I think he had a whale of a time being carried by my relatives the previous weekend while at my grandpa’s. This week, we saw him turning a little needy baby thats constantly seeking attention and wants loads of cuddles for comfort. Unfortunately, he has also grown quite a bit and I am finding him a little too heavy to carry. Some interesting quirks of my boy that I observed in the last few weeks.. He can raise his left brow and give a “huh?!” look which…

The MacBook Pro
Finally decided it was time to retire my old toshiba laptop and got myself a 13″ MacBook pro. Like finally. This arrived last week, brought by my uncle from the US with upgraded 8gb ram together with all my other online shopping loots (mostly baby related). But while I unpacked everything else and packed them aside, this is been lying in a corner.. untouched. This is so unlike me. The gadgets usually get my attention first and I can’t wait to rip them open and “test drive” it. This time round, the medela milk bottles and milk bags get priority and they get packed, used and washed first. This? It…

A date out with the hubby.
Ok. Make that 2 dates. The first was a movie date – x men first class on one of the week days night 1.5 weeks ago. We had my mum babysit and snuck off for a movie date. Kinda loving these small random little stolen moments together. The movie was great and very enjoyable, though I’m not quite the marvel fan. probably one of the best movies I have seen of late (that’s not many movies actually, heh). Friday night. My mum refused to let me bring Jerry out (I’ll talk about that in a separate post) so I went out alone and the hubby joined me at night for…

Present for myself.
The first weekend post the end of my official confinement period, we popped out with our friends, along with Jerry and had buffet lunch at triple three. I was too busy eating/catching up with friends/attending to and feeding Jerry that I didn’t take a single picture of the whole event. Yes, the free flow sashimi distracted me a lot as well and I just didn’t have enough time to finish eating all that’s available! Der & me headed off for some light shopping after that and I bought myself a present, to reward myself for having survive through the pregnancy and the confinement period (not that it was terrible, but…

Newest bag purchase.
Ok. Not exactly new but it was the last bag i bought. I have been eyeing the diaper bags from Kate spade for a while, but haven’t really gotten the chance to get any because I only love the brightly coloured ones or those with loud designs. The ones on the website are usually black (the colored ones sell out real fast) and no one seemed to be able to help me grab hold of any when they go on holiday. Then one day, I saw this on amazon.com 2 months ago and was so excited that I promptly bought it. It was perfect for me, big, roomy, bright red/pink…

For the hubby
It’s the hubby’s first Father’s Day but he flew off to australia earlier today for work. I never really dread about the hubby flying off in the past, sometimes, I even enjoy it because we both get some me-times clocked it and it does wonders for the relationship. But pregnancy and parenthood changes everything. I wished he didn’t have to fly and that he is beside me this instance. I think he might feel the same way too. With a busy weekend packed with a flurry of activities, we hardly had the time to recuperate and him to pack his luggage, so we didn’t have any time spent together as…

“You have been washing since last night…”
As I dragged myself out of bed at 4.30am in the morning for some milk production business, I was having a mind full of gripes, and still reeling from fatigue. Because I had such a long and uneventful day, and that I was really more tired than I should be. Everyone was asleep in the household. My uncles and aunt were in the house and as I tip-toed across them to get to the kitchen.. I was in a semi-state of self pity. Because I was the last person to sleep the night before and while everyone is STILL sleeping, here I am trooping off to the kitchen to was…

Presents! Jerry’s first nike and more!
my brother who is quite the sneaker fan (he has hundreds of them in different color combination that lines the walls of his room, bought his nephew his first pair of Nike sneakers. Omg. It’s so cute!! I cannot wait till the moment when my boy can wear these. I think at least when he is 9-12months old, meanwhile, mummy here is ogling at the shoes every time I catch the sight of it lying in one corner of the room. Together with the rest of the presents. And oh! Talking about presents, I actually got the items off my wish list – the bumbo chair (in lime green.. Can’t…

It’s Jerry.. No! It’s Richie Choo.
Private joke between the husband and me. We have gotten round to addressing our son as Richie Choo instead of Jerry Choo. He has amassed quite a fortune ever since he was born and the amount of gifts we have received since his birth has been pilling at one corner of my room and almost taking up all the walking space that’s available. I have no clue how to clear them and no space to store them! While some of the stuff won’t be useful till he’s older, the rest of the stuff we don’t really need so it’s quite a headache! Sigh. Anyway, Jerry got his first piece of…

Mohawk baby
Everyone has been asking me the same question – hey, did you style your son’s hair? (picture taken in ica while we wait to collect his passport, and my IC). He has been spotting this Mohawk hairstyle for the longest time and I thought he looked really cute in it. Well, the answer is NO. I didn’t style it, it’s all al naturale! Well, doesn’t help that his hair has this wet look and it sure do look like I styled it. And there, curious ones out there who has the same question for me.. You got your answer. =) Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.
