It’s a boy!
Ok. This is late, but congrats to kristy and wenhao for the arrival of their joyous bundle, baby jaryl on 28th Apr. No, no, no.. It’s not my baby!! Baby jaryl is supposed to due one week after my Jerry, so this ‘didi’ turned ‘gorgor’ instead! Now, I wonder when my Jerry decides to make its arrival. Mummy here is getting a little impatient! =) Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

Dins with the colleagues and sweet Brenda
One of them days that I ventured out without the hubby since the gynae ordered mc! Never mind that I was taking the cab everywhere, cos it was pouring so badly when I stepped out! Was so afraid that I’ll slip and fall (knowing the clumsy old me), but thank god I was kept safe. I hadn’t really wanted to head out for the dinner because of the pain, and lethargic-ness of being home bound for so long., but my colleague kept persuading me, and it was also meant to be a farewell dinner for sweet Brenda, one of the close agency girls that I have worked with. She’s moving…

Happy long weekend!!
All dressed and ready to enjoy the weekend! This is, and will be the last weekend that I’ll be out and about before the baby pops. Well, I’m one day away from the due date (omg, it’s tomorrow!!) and even if he doesn’t come out, I’ll be induced anyway.. So yup, despite the pains and all.. I am determined to get out and have a nice brunch, dinner and just breathe the outside air for a bit, before the confinement starts. Maybe the walking will help bring on the labour! I seriously don’t want to be induced! Hope you are enjoying your long weekend as well! P.s. This stupid livejournal…

Confused opposition party.
I’m not the politically savvy person and with the hype of the GE happening everyday (I hear the rally vehicles making their rounds).. I just cannot help it but tune in to the tidbits found on twitterverse/facebook/online and it helps that TODAY gives a rather comprehensive and up-to-date tweets about what’s happening at the rallies every night. There’s just so much happening on the social media front for this GE as compared to the previous 2 elections I went through ever since I hit the legal age to vote (errm, am i giving my age away?!). I quite enjoy the funny bits of the rally speeches between the PAP and…

A little indulgence
2 days ago, I popped out for a while to get myself pampered. Helps that it was only a stone’s throw away and ultra convenient. I got express manicure done! I should have opt for the full one, but nah, had the muffin duties and was rushing out for a dinner. Happy toes! Probably the last pedicure I can do in a long while! Sane time next week, I’ll probably be in hospital or doing my confinement! And nope, didn’t do the manicure since I need to remove before popping into the hospital. Would be a waste of time and money. Errmm. Actually, my pretty toes also only get to…

The home project – muffins baking!
To kill the boredom and get my mind off things (think pain), I attempt to give myself a to-do list each day, be it improving the current situation that I am in (think room cleaning, toilet scrubbing, rearranging of furniture) or simply something out of the norm, like the recent BBQ and yesterday, I baked! Nice, cute, yummy blueberry muffins. Never mind that it was from a pre-mix and relatively simple and fuss free. The best bit was I had fun, kept myself occupied though I had the queen bee (mum) hovering over me in her territory (kitchen), issuing unnecessary instructions and trying to mess with my baking and my…

The hard truth.
Bump in train. Heavily pregnant but no one gave me a seat. Isn’t life a joke sometimes? I think SMRT should not fine people for eating/drinking in train. They should fine people who hog the reserved seat, for like the longest time, oblivious to their surroundings or people who pretend to sleep. Or see me but ignore. Sigh. The government should instill some policies on public transport too.. If not, how to promote growing birth rate? I’ll think twice if I want the next kid. Seriously, I have been fortunate that my hubby drives (thank goodness for company car!) else, I’ll frown and say no thanks to the next kid.…

Week 39 and 3 days – doc’s prescription = sex
Popped by the gynae again this morning and was a little disappointed. In the past, I look forward to the gynae visits so that I can see Jerry on the ultrasound machine. These days, I look forward to the visits hoping that the doc will say.. Oh, you should admit into hospital for delivery. Of cos, that didn’t happen which explains my disappointment. Haha. Baby’s weighing 2.9kg today, just 100grams heavier than last week..Seems a little small! Is it the fact that I stopped taking the multivits and fish oil? Somehow, they spoil my appetite and I usually end up vomiting on the days I do remember to take them…

Being spontaneous!
Last Friday, I sat around in the house and wondered how I could get through the long weekend. Der has stopped me from swimming ever since the pelvic pain got worse. I miss it sorely and its the only exercise routine that I have to get my heart pumping.. So without it, I have been feeling lethargic and restless. Was randomly surfing around and I decided to book a BBQ pit for the next day.. And I quickly logged on to my town council website for the booking. Woohoo! Thank goodness for half day work days on Saturday mornings. Popped into mum’s room to tell her about it. I think…

My sweet hubby.
I have always been a big fan of roasted duck and I haven’t ate any for the longest time ever since I got preggers, because of a miscommunication between my mum and me. She kept telling me that I should avoid duck meat because they are oh-so-toxic. I was rather bummed out and made der promise that he’ll bring me on a trip to hong kong to feast on their roasted goose before the end of the year. It’s many times nicer than a roasted duck and besides it’s been ages since we last went hk.. The last time i went, i lugged back 3 big birds for the family…
