• My Tuesday lunch.

Couldn’t decide what lunch I should eat today and decided to go with instant noodles. my mum offered to cook me a nice lunch (rice, vege and other dishes) but I think I shan’t trouble her and go with something simple. And ta-dah! My vege-laden instant noodles. Wanted to fry an egg to top it off but was too hungry and lazy to bother. There’s something about eating instant noodles these days. It’s like a comfort food.. Well, anything goes that keeps my stomach filled. And if you notice, I think I’m more of a fan of the vegetables/mushroom than the noodles itself. Now, with the hunger satisfied, my eyes…

  • Pregnancy forgetfulness.

If I ever suffer from it.. The times where it’s most apparent is during my gynae visits. I always have tonnes and tonnes of questions between my visits, but each time I step into the consultation room.. I usually forgot at least 50% of the questions and go “aiyah, forget to ask again!” after I stepped out. Didn’t help that my gynae’s clinic is always packed and he is always trying see everyone all the time. Speaks damn fast and for a few times, I actually caught him having a half-eaten burger lying on the table or munching through one between consultations, not that it matters or bothers me. I’m…

  • Medela breast pump from the US

Just for the record.. If you are ever intending to buy a US model (please do, because the savings is very significant).. You don’t need to use a voltage transformer here in Singapore because it works.. Just like all my other US appliances (ASUS netbook, toshiba laptop) that I own. I just charged mine yesterday for 24hrs and it works perfectly fine, despite my aunt checking with the sales person in US and they confirming that it is not auto-voltage and cannot be used. Wth?! sometimes, I really do wonder if they really know what they are talking about (you’ll be surprised to know that many many US residents/citizens never…

  • The miserable slob that I am..

Or turning into. I’m not sure if the home rest with the doc’s mc is a good thing. I’m definitely one of those that treasure my mobility A LOT, and being stuck at home in pain is no fun. Especially since I can’t really find a comfortable position to lie in for long without feeling aches and pain especially with the weight that im bearing. I still remember when I had that ligament surgery some years back, I snuck out in the evening with my crutches on the day I was discharged from the hospital, much to the horror of my mum. Yes, never mind that I hopped into a…

  • Pictures of the last 2 weeks and more

Feeling more and more unattractive as the days goes by. Am I suffering from self-esteem issues or what? Hate all my clothes and I had to keep wearing the same old stuff over and over for the last few weeks. I got a whole bunch of new maternity clothes that arrived late in march (the retailer bungled up my online order and my aunt cancelled her trip in late feb) so I figured that I’m gonna sell them off since I no longer have any need for them anymore. Sigh. Will post them up soon so if you are keen, can look out for it over the weekend. Mostly from…

  • Week 38 & 4 days

This week’s update is late, mainly because I wanted to capture the gynae’s visit and updates here as well, which happened yesterday. Well, well.. Almost at the end! I could feel it physically, literally. The usual swim session on Sunday didn’t happen last weekend. The boy refused to let me go as I was suffering from pelvic pain (feels like the bone is mis-aligned) and I could hardly raise my left leg at all. Walking is a pain with every single step and I cannot put any pressure without feeling the pain.. So instead of waddling like most preggie women do, I waddle with a limp. It’s quite a sight…

  • Sleep talking

My boy sleep talks quite a bit everyday, and being the light sleeper that I am.. Sometimes, I wake, only to realize he is sleeping.. The conversations can vary to really weird things and the best part is, if I ask a question.. He will still answer me in his sleep. The following convo just happened in the dark (I woke to pee and can’t sleep after) while I was playing with my mobile phone. Der: hey, go move the car to the side.Me: huh?! Why should I move the car? Der: you are blocking someone in the multi-storey carpark. Me: *giggles* Sometimes, it’s about girls (his colleagues), shoes, his…

  • The babies goes for a wash..

In anticipation of the arrival of Jerry, all the babies get a wash too! Last wednesday, when the sun was good, my mum started on the deed. I’m quite amused at how my mum hangs them out to dry.. But guess who gets left out and is happily sleeping on the bed? Haha! This greeted me when i got home.. I thought it was left out on purpose but my mum insisted that she took everything to the wash.. Oh well, till the next wash. All my toys are clean and smelling really nice but der hates the detergent smell and prefers his smelly babies. Heh. Posted via LiveJournal app…

  • Feeling vulnerable.

This whole pregnancy shit really throws me off sometimes., I didn’t feel like I am in control, especially of my body. I can’t help but feel vulnerable at times. Like how I cannot control my sleeping pattern, I keep having interrupted sleep ad waking up in the middle of the night. Can’t control my stomach on when it decides to keep the food I take or make me throw up just moments after.. This morning is a typical example. I woke, tried to sleep and can’t.. Felt hungry so had a small bowl of kokocrunch, and just moments later when I lie down to rest and possibly nap before I…

  • P for perfect lunch, at Putien.

Upon bernice’s return from the big apple, we had grand plans to make the most out of the limited time that we have (before I pop) for happy lunches! We both just think work’s too depressing and happy lunches are a good way to beat the blues! So putien was the choice of the day. Actually, it was soup kitchen but we got distracted by putien 2 doors away. I officially changed her middle made from Uta to ‘greedy’. Bernice greedy Phua. Lol. I can hear her going.. “so rude..” but she wanted to eat everything!!! Our lunch! Fried brinjal (eggplant) with floss. A tad sweet for me but bernice’s…
