bedtimes.
I’m not denying it. my blog feels very neglected because I haven’t been updating it as often as I liked. I just didn’t have the energy. lately, its getting quite a pain in the arse (pardon my language) having to put my son down for bedtime. he just struggles and wriggles all over and slids out of the bed and just kept moving non stop! gone are the days when I can just give him a bottle of milk to drink and he’ll fade off shortly after finishing the milk. whatever happened?! I think its toddlerhood. he wants to play a lot more. wants more attention. struts around…

tuckshop.
my colleague brought me here for lunch one day and my oh my, I’m really surprised at this really simple, nice, chilled cafe in the midst of the industrial park work area that I work in. definitely a good place to escape to for an hour or two during lunch if you needed something to cheer up your work day. and yes, you heard me right. its called tuckshop. nostalgic eh? doesn’t it all reminds you of our primary school days. ok. maybe not everyone but those around my age will know what I’m talking about. and when I say its hidden, its an understatement. this place is…

learning about darkness and light.
my household suffered a blackout (make that several blackouts), and we were moving around with torches trying to identify the source of the power trip. jerry was part of the entire saga and I was rather amused he wasn’t freaked out by the darkness at all. he just followed us around, wanting to get into the thick of action in whatever we are doing, mainly observing and mimicking. I gave him a torch light and he went shining into everything that he wanted to check out and even went on an expedition around the house by himself! am mighty amused by his actions for quite a while…

jerry’s new toy.
we spent Saturday at home just bumming around because it was raining so heavily and it was a good opportunity to wind down from all the rest of the activities we had from weeks before. and we let jerry open up one of this birthday presents as a treat. yes, we are still having the stash of birthday presents unwrapped and sitting in a corner of my room. we are rationing them slowly giving him one every alternate week so that it’ll last him a while without us buying new toys for him. (learnt the useful tip from ..thanks babe!) this is a self-fix Thomas the train that…

my kuching trip (part 2)
On day 3 of our Kuching trip, we visited the semenggoh nature reserve to check out some orang utans on the 3rd morning at my uncle’s suggestion. I was very very tempted to stay in bed but decided that maybe its good exposure for jerry and dragged our lazy bums out. the journey took about 20mins in a cab ride. talking about cabs, they are a rarity in kuching. very hard to find one randomly on the streets, they are almost non existent. only easily available at touristy areas or hotel lobbies. anyway, I digressed. that’s the ticket stud for entry. Malaysians cost 5rm, foreigners 10rm, seniors citizens at 3rm.…

my kuching trip (part 1)
kuching trip for 4 days and 3 nights, easily summed up just eating and sleeping. we did nothing much, mainly because there was nothing much to do, not much places to go.. and we were in too big a group (7 adults and 1 toddler) to actually plan everything down to a pat. besides, all everyone wanted was to chill and relax from the 2 hectic weekends of family activities/happenings so we pretty much did that. us on the flight, outbound to kuching. baby was generally well behaved for the most part but there was a bit delay in taking off and he actually finished his milk feed before the…

happy 14th month baby!
that was 2 days ago but the past month had whizzed by so fast, I realised I didn’t really take a lot of pictures! nothing much has changed the past month, you are equally hyperactive, if not more. you occasionally skip your afternoon nap and its been extremely tiring for everyone to keep up with your energy levels. mummy barely has anymore ‘me-time’! even blogging has taken a back seat because I’m constantly tired and spent. this month, you added ‘pa pa’ (scared scared) to your vocabulary list complete with actions of thumping your chest with your hand. your no. 1 item on that ‘pa pa’ list is…

good morning!
babies are such smiley things! they start each day with a smile.. funny how I thought I should learn that and embrace each day with a smile. how often do we open our eyes each day and.. frowns.. groans.. yawns and wish we could stay in bed longer. haha. I’m guilty as charged. meanwhile, I loving his funny expressions while tottering around the room! its sucha headache. what should I eat this morning? I think I’m having a bad hair day. we are waiting for him to finish his usual milk feed so that we can go for breakfast and start our touristy day. Posted via LiveJournal app for…
