taking his weight.
jerry got plonked on the weighing machine at ny grandpa’s house in msia. the weighing scale is meant to weight fruits for sale. I plonked him there and he was quite happy to be so ‘tall’. meanwhile, the scales say he is weighing 8.8kg. this is my favourite picture yesterday. Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

my way of keeping my hyper kid at bay.
I really don’t have the energy to catch up with him these days.. in a bid to keep his hyperactiveness at bay and still keep him occupied with some activity, I put him in the baby chair outside at the corridor.. and armed him with an apple. if possible, dress the baby in old clothes. my son isn’t in old clothes but he has been munching on the apple before that (he grabbed it from the coffee table himself and started munching on it before we realised what was happening) so I just let him be. look at the mess he created. but surprise, surprise! he devoured 3/4 of…

on this hot day..
some one is having an ice treat and loving it! I find it a good way to keep my hyper son rooted at one spot. nevermind that it is only the length of time an ice cube takes to melt. Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

Day 6 in shanghai.
We initially wanted to go Suzhou, but after the amazing race to hangzhou, we didn’t think we could manage 2 of such intensive days consecutively and dropped all plans on Suzhou. And chill we did. Lunch at pizza hut! I have heard raves about pizza Hut’s menu in china in my ex job and have been dying to try it. Their kitchen set up (and HK’s) is also different from other countries so they have a lot more flexibility in the food options they can serve. They have a special afternoon tea segment that was largely successful and I was curious to check it out. Our salad from our set…

the gynae visit again.
the spotting didn't stop. the cramps are still present as well, on top of that.. I'm experiencing heart palpitations and it feels like I'm having an anxiety attack all the time. have been very worried about baby 2 so I had the husband bring me to gynae yesterday. thank goodness the heartbeat is still going strong. doc gave e a jab and loads of hormone pills for the next 2 weeks. I really hope baby will be ok. my precious baby. Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

catching his first smile of the day..
I find it a joy to wake up in the morning, lay in bed and observe jerry till he rouses from his sleep.. and usually the moment our eyes meet… he smiles. such precious moments. this morning, he climbed out of my bed himself, pulled out the water bottle from my bag, sat down and starting patting it like a drum, entertaining himself. moments later, he went back to my bag and fished out something else. my fruitella bar of sweets. my cheeky little fellow.. and no, you ain’t eating one of those. am not feeling very well these couple of days, and as a…

up to some mischief.
this morning, he woke up, jumped on the bed, and went…’neh neh! neh neh! neh neh!’ while pointing at the empty bottle from the night before. and then when I yawned and covered my mouth, he imitated me, with the full sound effects, action and all! right now, he’s snatching the mop from my mum so that he can mop the floor. scaling new heights with his toy story car.. sigh. I cant keep.up.with him! super active. Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

Day 5 in shanghai/hangzhou
Ok. I know my travel posts are rather intermittent, but I simply don’t have to time to blog them all at one go! I wrote this halfway awhile back and finally found the determination to finish it today. I’m beginning to lose memories of the trip already and dont even remind me about the south Africa trip that I stopped halfway and the Australia trip that I didn’t blog about at all. I think I’ll probably won’t get round to them anymore! // Day 5 was spent heading to hangzhou and 西湖 (west lake)!! Scrap that. It was amazing race to hangzhou. We kept running and running the entire time,…

food expedition.
what msia means to me is always 2 things – family and good food. and no, in case you are wondering.. I am a Singaporean, except that I have a wee bit of Malaysia blood in me. with the family wedding yesterday, the family gathered in jb for a good feasting opportunity before the celebration. we trooped in bright and early on Saturday morning. first stop. I finally tried out the mee hoon kuay that derrick has been raving about for a while. this is near his johor office in so its pretty far off from the jb town because its in skudai. I think it taste pretty good.…
