my saturday!
spent lazing around because the schedule for the day was thrown askew. der remembered the wrong date for our dental appointment and we woke up, bright and early (after the late night karaoke), rushed through our breakfast and arrived at the dental clinic and be told that we didn’t have an appointment! Oops. it was supposed to be on sunday! that kinda threw us off and since we were so tired from the night before, we decided to stay in and rest.. except that we didn’t really rest. we ended up playing mahjong for 6 hours! we were all so pre-occupied with our tiles and the determination to win each…

the planned “blind date”.
errrmm.. it didn’t quite go that well in the end so i rather not talk about it. i was trying to secretly match make my friends and finally managed to organise dinner and a karaoke session with my friends/colleagues. have been anticipating the day for weeks! anyway, the best laid plans will still be screwed.. so the night didn’t exactly go as planned at all. 1. everyone had dinner plans last minute cos we separately had dinner before meeting up for karaoke. 2. the supposedly “match-make” couple didn’t talk at all! the weekend.
the realization that the CNY is just a week away hit me, and i was in a frenzy cleaning mode the whole weekend. cleared up my room, dump some stuff, reorganized some other stuff, and then.. i threw out about 30 pairs of shoes. not throw technically. havent slept a wink in the last 24 hours.
when was the last time you did that? I cannot remember when i last did it. It’s been yonks because work has been so hectic that i knock out the moment my head hits the pillow. last night, it was different. i had to down red bull to keep myself awake. to clear all the outstanding work so that I can go krabi peacefully. the last time i drank red bull was in secondary school to keep myself awake for exams.. =S i’m dead tired and i’m hoping i don’t look like shit without the beauty sleep that i am supposed to be accumulating. come to think of it… am…

bored and home alone
with my supposedly dinner appointment cancelled and me being a pack of lazy bones, i am home alone today. the family have set off for grandpa’s place in rengam before day break (damn! should have gone along if i knew the appointment will be cancelled). i feel guilty for being so busy and not visiting my grandparents as much as i should, even though each time, i look forward to the glorious food galore there. the family wont be back till tomorrow, and with the boy in europe.. life is suddenly very still at the moment, especially with the change of plans. nonetheless, i have set aside a whole list…

about the new year.
the long weekend was packed with tons of activities that I did not have any time alone, unless you consider 3 hours of manicure me-time. I ended 2009 with a movie – bodyguards and assassins and started 2010 with another movie – did you hear about the morgans? it was movie galore because i had this stack of $1 off coupons to be utilised before 31 Dec 09, so we bought movie tickets for all the shows that we wanted to watch, including avatar. Long day.
The day started at 6.30am. i struggled between trying to silence the 5 ringing alarm clocks (my iPhone, my alarm clock, der’s g-shock alarm clock, and our E71s) and trying to grab more sleep. to top it off, my mum was banging madly on the door to wake us up. -_- who in the world wakes at 6.30am in the morning to go JB? christmas party @ andy’s!
ho ho ho! i had the last christmas party yesterday at andy’s place. it was potluck, so bright and early in the morning, the boy and me trooped over to the market to buy our breakfast, and the fresh ingredients required for the potluck. the plan was to bring along curry chicken. we bought 2 fat chicken (my mum kept 1 for her own use) and onions. my mum have already helped me buy potatoes so that was out. errm, i must admit that i didn’t cook. my mum did, and her curry chicken was fantastic in my opinion, so that was the best food that i thought i could…

during one of the weekend last month, the boy and me trooped over to max pavilion and caught 张韶涵 in action. seeing her in real life and rather up-close (i was in the VIP seating area), i must say she is really, really petite! and she doned 5″ platform heels throughout her entire performance. with that, she was just only slightly taller than the host – 周崇庆. half the time, i was trying to see if i could make out the brand of the shoe (haha!). i was very tired during the performance and kept yawning. no offence to her singing. it was quite good, just that my body is…
