Shape Run 2017 – Our 3rd 1.8KM Family Run with Skechers!
[Sponsored] The Shape Run has somewhat become special and iconic for us as a family. We have been participating every year since my Jerome is still a baby in a stroller. He is now a 4.5yo and finishes the run by himself with gusto. How far we have come! This year is our 3rd 1.8km Family Run. Read about our previous 1.8km family runs in 2016 & 2015. The boys were super excited once they knew about it. They even know the drill when we picked up our Skechers shoes from the store and has been really excited about getting medals for their race. I know, strange motivation they have there (must…

happy national day, singapore!
today, everyone in Singapore celebrates the nation’s birthday. I really love Singapore and how we grow and prosper year on year. I don’t think I would ever find another better country to stay in. sure, I love travelling and have been to quite a number of countries but nowhere beats home. Singapore is such a great country to stay in. its so safe (in comparison to others), so efficient, handicap and kids friendly everywhere, good public transport, great infrastructure and all, plus our tax is relatively low. sure, its not perfect but believe me, it a lot better than many many places! I have have really silent on the…

Sungei Boluh Wetland Reserve
this is a super backdated entry, from 6 months ago. it was one of those weekends in jan (5 jan to be exact) and jerome was still in my tummy. i was desperately trying to clock in some outdoor outings and spend some time with jerry before his brother pops out and share the attention. i super love nature and have been wanting to go sungei boluh wetland reserve for a long while, and i finally made it there that weekend. jerry dragging his cousin Levon along. making our way in! I like that they add little tidbits and facts about the animals that we are likely to see on…

mywaterway @ punggol on father’s day
sorry for the silence. its contributed by a couple of reasons. first of which is me feeling under the weather and I have been extremely tired of late from solo parenting last week and work and trying to recuperate. and the haze situation isn’t helping. my nose and airway have been irritated by the air and I did a 8-in-a-chain mega sneeze last night followed by burning nostrils, I knew I had to hide under the covers and just sleep. so ya, forgive me will ya? back to father’s day. I bought der an ice cream cup to reward him for a job well done (it’s as good as…

a wedding over the weekend.
I attend a wedding over the weekend, of james and angel. it was a lovely wedding with touching speeches and all. and it was special to me in my own little way. I was back in the same ballroom that I wedded in 3 years ago. as i sit in the ballroom, the memories of my own wedding flashed in my mind and I couldnt help it but smile at those memories. It was so much fun. ok. I shouldnt really steal the story. its their wedding after all. I didnt manage to take much pictures of the couple. and whatever I had was a little fuzzy. I was…

a visit to pasar bella at grand stand (turf city)
last week, we finally found some time to check out pasar bella. the husb is pretty appalled when I told him we are going to check out a market and was in fact, very reluctant to go according to my suggestion. haha! the flight of stairs kinda put der off. he had to carry the stroller with a sleeping jerry in it up those stairs. he even told me to go ahead and he’ll sit at the bus stop to wait for me. haha! my lazy man. (we eventually realised that we could enter from the sides through the mall area that doesnt require climbing any steps). and can I…

Discovering the artistic side of me with heART Studio.
it's been a while that I did something for myself. take on classes, learn a new skill etc. the last time I attended a class of some sort for myself was learning the Japanese language and that was many many years back, way before I got married. with smb turning 1, I managed to join a bake class and now, an ART CLASS with all the celebratory activities! thank you smb! there are loads more worth celebrating for, I reckon. heh. and so, I spent 2 hours today away from the kids (my mum helped babysit one, and the husband the other while running errands) and tried to discover my…

Jerry goes for the Cold Storage Kids Run 2013!
if you have met or seen jerry in real life, you will know that i have a very active boy on my hands. he sprints away for some fun the moment an opportunity opens up, or is ever ready for a game of catching where he runs and mummy/daddy chases after him, or around a pillar (he loves the pillar thing!). so we were really excited that Jerry is finally of age to join the cold storage kids run this year! i was pretty sure he’ll be a champ and run ALL the way, judging at how he loves to run, all the time. turns out, things never quite happens…

A visit to the S.E.A Aquarium.
i have a love for aquariums, and all kinds of marine life if you haven’t already know. but no, i’m not a diver, not yet. or maybe i’ll never be.. who knows? but it doesnt matter. For now, i’m happy checking out the aquariums all over the world. and when S.E.A aquarium opened, i kept bugging the husband to go but we never found the chance with him being really busy at work (and unable to take leave) and us burning our every single weekend to settle the house furniture/electronics and renovations matters. So on Jerry’s birthday, we had wanted to bring him to have some water play fun at…

mother’s day brunch at GRUB Restaurant.
GRUB restaurant is like the hottest place to check out lately. it kept appearing on a lot of my friends’ blogs and their IG. with it being so near me.. I just had to check it out so I brought my mum there for a mother’s day brunch. ermm.. having read all the rave reviews.. I think my experience fell a bit flat. 1. queues. I have heard about their no reservation rule so I dragged everyone out at 845am to make it for their opening at 9am. turns out, we parked at the wrong car park so we had to take a little stroll. we reach about 920am and…
