outing at gardens by the bay.
we popped by gardens by the bay 2 Saturdays ago. I had actually wanted to post this a week before but the lj app ate up my post when it crashed on me while I was reading my friend’s entry. so this is my second attempt at posting this and hopefully, I could still remember the details that I wanted to blog about. I have been wanting to check the place out. it was a perfect day to visit, having rained in the late morning before and the skies were a little on the gloomy side with the sun peeking out randomly from the clouds. the first thing we…

my nails this weekend.
I havent done a nail post for a long time. that’s the amount of time that I havent found the time to do it. so this morning, I decided to spend some time painting because my polishes have been do neglected. a simple natural looking one to save myself some time. orly Orion natural looking white base layered with opi pirouette my whistle on the tips. this glitter is on the top of my favourites list lately. my toes are done with orly naughty or nice, a deep brownish red with the tips also layered with opi pirouette my whistle. pardon the cuticle oil glistening in the picture. …

weekend fun at polliwogs.
last Saturday, we had to bring jerry to the paed for his vaccination and when we were done, it was only 930am so we decided to check out the newly opened polliwogs at Robertson. I'm usually not keen on visiting playgrounds/play gyms because I'm worried about the older rowdier kids within the same grounds, since kids usually go a bit uncontrollable when they are having loads of fun. however, I read that it was not as crowded since its newly opened and it had a separate toddler area so we decided to go check it out. getting tagged. the service was good and since it was my first visit, the…

jerry’s new toy.
we spent Saturday at home just bumming around because it was raining so heavily and it was a good opportunity to wind down from all the rest of the activities we had from weeks before. and we let jerry open up one of this birthday presents as a treat. yes, we are still having the stash of birthday presents unwrapped and sitting in a corner of my room. we are rationing them slowly giving him one every alternate week so that it’ll last him a while without us buying new toys for him. (learnt the useful tip from ..thanks babe!) this is a self-fix Thomas the train that…

a date with Dr. Brady Barr.
pardon the radio silence on the blog front for the past week. mummy me has been struggling with a full time job (with long hours) and a sick baby with an intense medication schedule and clocking in no more than 4hrs sleep daily. daddy wasn’t around all week but I’m glad to report I’m out in the sunshine now. baby is better (but still on medication), daddy is back and I spent an entire day sleeping away over the weekend so all is good.. except, maybe its my turn to fall sick cos I have been sneezing and sniffing non stop since morning. bah. nonetheless, we had a…

Ian & Caron’s wedding @ Klapsons Hotel
Last sunday, I attended my colleague’s wedding. Probably the most chilled wedding I attended ever. Everything was done elegantly, the wedding montage was simple and classic, the pictures were all oozing with the couple’s personality, there wasn’t much fanfare which is really nice, no fake cake cutting, no yum seng (just a simple toast) and much of the time spent was really spending quality time chatting with the guests and simply enjoying themselves. It’s makes me want to re-do my wedding all over again. Ok. I’m joking, but it was really simple and nice. And classy. Me love. The food was delish and the pace of the food was good,…

A trip to the ZOO!
Over the long weekend, we planned a trip to the zoo. We didn’t have much plans for the long weekend and thought it might do jerry some good to expose him to the animals and bring him out to for interaction with people instead of cooping up in the house with grandma all the time. We had grand plans of planning an activity every weekend! So when kent told me that he is back in Singapore for good and kaka is here for a month-long exchange program, I said a meet-up is due! It was in their plans to visit the zoo during the weekend (kaka wanted to do it…

Me-time.
Painting my nails are like the only me-time I get for myself these days, mainly because the vapor’s bad for the baby so he has to be AWAY from me. But I do think it’s also hard work and I’ll rather go sit at the manicurist and get my nails painted. But, my new nail resolution is that I need to justify the existence of all those pots of polishes I have in lying around in the house… Many of which are brand new. OPI colour – Jade is the new Black Changed out my nail color last night, because my nails chipped badly and I just had to cut…

in the middle of the night.
here i am, awake and for the last 30 mins, toggling between the idea of flopping into my bed or fulfill the duties of mother cow. trust me, the former seems so enticing but the tingling pain is a reminder of the agonizing consequence that i would have to suffer in the morning if i chose the latter. so in the mean time, i have taken to multi-task and make full use of my time. i am updating my iphone 3Gs to iOS5! have you done it yet? if you haven’t, and have heard that it would wipe out all your apps.. yes. it does, but only if you didn’t…

Pretty nails.
I had wanted to pop put for manicure & pedicure this afternoon cos my last (self) manicure has been 2 weeks ago and the new growth was quite unsightly and the polish was beginning to chip real bad. I was really lazy and was on the verge of stepping out when I guilt tripped myself. Seeing the amount of nail polishes that I have…. I’m really not doing them any justice.. And mostly, I also feel stupid when I head out and paint on some opi colour when I already have them in the house. So I got down to hardworking mode, left the baby in the husband’s care and…
