• The miserable slob that I am..

Or turning into. I’m not sure if the home rest with the doc’s mc is a good thing. I’m definitely one of those that treasure my mobility A LOT, and being stuck at home in pain is no fun. Especially since I can’t really find a comfortable position to lie in for long without feeling aches and pain especially with the weight that im bearing. I still remember when I had that ligament surgery some years back, I snuck out in the evening with my crutches on the day I was discharged from the hospital, much to the horror of my mum. Yes, never mind that I hopped into a…

  • the fun saturday morning…

i have been secretly praying that the baby won’t pop out that soon because i very last minute decided to sign myself up for a maternity shoot to capture some memories of this pregnancy. because it’s so last minute, i haven’t really done my research and really think about how i want the shoot to be. i enlisted der’s help in checking out some maternity shoot packages, decided on one, made an appointment that fit into our schedule and viola, the next thing we know.. we are on set. we did the shoot yesterday morning, the only saturday that’s available since our antenatal class ended last weekend, and being totally…

  • Weekend fun.

Last weekend saw us spending quite a bit of time at the hospital.. Oh. On the health front, I finally got der to check out his neck with an orthopedic. Helps that I was familiar with it since I tore my ligament some 6 years back and I set an appointment for him. He saw the doc once 2 weeks ago, got a MRI scan done and last weekend, we reviewed the scan with the doc. Planned it in conjunction with all our antenatal class so it was perfect. The scan results did show that he had a slightly worn out disc in his neck that’s probably causing the pain…

  • At week 36!

The weekend has been real tiring! In gist, it’s much baby related! As usual…. Antenatal class on Saturdays. 1 more class to go and we’re done! l spent the late afternoon folding and packing the baby diapers yesterday with a date night out with hubby for a play. Details in a separate post, when I find more energy. Am so ready to crash right now.. That’s all the cloth diapers I have! The blue ones are towels and baby wraps that I got/was gifted. It looks like a lot, but I’m not sure if it’s sufficient to turn around for use. See? The baby goes through many diapers change and…

  • And the swim plans took a back seat..

I woke up early this morning and took the opportunity to quickly sort out another bag of hand-me-downs that I received last night for Jerry. Actually wanted to just sort them before waking the boy for the usual swim but I guess I was too noisy and woke the boy and we got into a sorting and washing frenzy! Tiring but fun! Putting them out to sun. We hand-washed everything here! This is the 2nd batch of clothes in the wash. My mum did the first batch which had all the small delicate mittens and booties and small wash towels. There’s still a few basket-loads of baby laundry to be…

  • Cheap thrill, really!

Before I forget.. Just an interesting trivial for my records.. The whole Singapore is out of stock for cotton disposable undies! Have been searching for weeks across the various guardian pharmacies and watsons and today, a nice shop assistant in guardian confirmed that the stocks are out for the past one month! The only ones available are in paper quality which I am refusing to accept. Oh wells, so much so for prepping my hospital bag. Am going to send the boy to help me buy in msia.. I saw it the other day but ran out of my size. Did anyone realized that it’s a freaking hot day today?…

  • A date with the husband.

Since a few weeks back, I have dedicated friday nights to having a date with the husband. It was triggered by the fact that mum went for surgery and there wasn’t the usual home cooked and we had to eat out. It turned out to be a great idea (even though we end up eating really late on Fridays) because we managed to clock some couple time over a good meal or sometimes, a simple and happy meal. There wasnt the usual distraction of tv at home or other things snatching your attention (read: iPad/computers) so there were some quality conversations happening. With the baby coming soon, we’ll have less…

  • Sunday just flew pass..

Started the day really early and head off for a swim. With me deciding on attempting natural birth and not taking any epidurals if possible, the gynae has advised that I start swimming to build up my muscles, strength and perhaps, stamina? So swim plans are on every weekend now. It’s nice to be able to swim in a pool all by myself too, thanks to Jen.. I popped by her old place (her mum’s place now) for a swim! Check out the empty pool with only me in it, swimming. I like it for the fact that it’s a 50m pool so it’s great that I could do laps…

  • Rainy Saturday..

Spent a productive Saturday! Got out of bed early and shifted the furnishings around in the room to make way for the cot delivery! Headed out with aunt (she’s here in Singapore to help take care of myMum while she tries to rest and recover from her recent surgery), brother and der for dim sum at Hua tin. Yummy, but these days.. I can’t seemed to stomach much and the only joy I had was the mango purée with herbal jelly, sago and pomelo. Haha. My boy has got a sweet tooth and is more receptive to all things sweet! Swung by goodwood park for 20pcs of durian puff goodness……
