up to some fun in the new office
with everything new here (new office, new sitting arrangement, new routines), the team also got some fun up our sleeves. i’ll call it the secret messaging board. it started with a nice map on who’s seated and which desk for easy navigation.. and it evolved! the “posting” still happens here and there, going into the 3rd day here. very soon, there will be no more space for writing. it’s quite funny reading the “exchanges”.

I’m in GREEN!
not literally, as in clothes’ color but as in location GREEN. i just hate the JAM. morning jam, lunch time jam and i am quite sure that the evening is going to be JAMMED as well. I cannot believe i spent 20 mins trying to turn into the office from the main road. walking would have been MUCH faster. i spent the morning easing myself in.. got 1/2 box more of stuff and my colleague accidentally threw away my favourite mouse pad (i shared a box with her) into the bin. when i went around asking her if she has seen it (after my long morning meeting), she say she…

Good morning world!
stepped into the office at 7.55am today. life is so fragile.
my mum just called and somehow, looking at the time.. the first thing that came to my mind was.. did something bad happen? and my worry was more for her. don’t ask me how i know, i just had the sudden feeling it was bad news. well, she was a sobbing mess and she managed to say that my grand aunt just passed away and that i have to attend the funeral in msia over the weekend and on monday. i just checked with HR and i am NOT entitled to compassionate leave (because she’s aunt, not ma), and oh wells, i texted my boss and applied for annual leave…

stretching at my desk.
i am still in the office at this grand hour. just cleared a whole lot of emails and work since the day in the office was spent pretty much on packing. we packed cartons but there are still quite a fair bit to go, so it’s continuation tomorrow. yesterday, by a random occasion, i found out that my colleague was my friend’s wife.
