6pm. I pack my desk and headed home. Think i was the first to leave in the entire department today. Definitely feels really good. The only qualm about leaving that early? The bus is crowded and sure stinks a lot with loads of sweaty school children on the bus and odd jobs men. I’m literally suffocating in the air con bus. Desperately controlling my breathing and i’m getting a bad headache. Put my hand near my nose to block out the stinky air.. And oh gawd, i smell so good in comparison. Ok. Lunch.
Having my lunch at odd hours. Sometimes, i can literally starve! The joke of late is that my team all qualify for application to become 仙女(goddesses), because we don’t need to eat! doodles
for those of you who don’t know.. i like to draw and doodle a lot. when i was MUCH younger, i arm myself with a pencil, pen or marker, and sometimes chalk, i go around the house and draw.. on the walls, the bed frames, the cupboards, the walls, the windows, the doors, the floors.. you name it, i have done it. imagine my mum’s horror when i color the cartoon characters on the cupboards and bedsheets with the color markers that i have. *grins* well.. i must say she really had a lot to deal with, with a kid like me. some of the drawings can still be found..…

Madi Gras Dinner & Dance 2007
and so, agnes came by my desk and spotted a picture of me in a costume last friday.. and she said that i didn’t blog about it.. so. because im the hungry one now with nothing much to do while waiting for dinner to arrive… the topic would be the dinner and dance last year with the pageant contest.. and this was how i looked… with my blue striking fan dress with the rest of the female contest finalists.. my boss and me with my team the pageant voting boxes one of the cat-walking parades the grand finale because it’s been so long.. i cannot remember the gist of everything…

my new colleague
i haven’t had the chance to blog about my new colleague this week – a new member in the chicken team. it’s weird having this new colleague, agnes. you must be wondering why it’s weird.. cos she’s my primary school classmate! haha. quite funny to have her work in the same department as me, and be my friendly competitor. it feels weird, and sometimes, i didn’t know how to react. hee hee. anyhow, it’s been nice thus far and hopefully, our friendship will grow and we’ll get to know each other better! 🙂 welcome agnes!

My dress
Attended a luncheon by singpost this afternoon.. The theme was grand shanghai.. I didn’t have anything to wear to the lunch so i just wore a simple dress.. Midway through the lunch, i was asked to write my name and company on a piece of paper. Little did i know i was pre-selected for one of the best dressed! Urgh. Was made to catwalk in front of at least 30 tables of people from a mountain of companies.. So malu-ing! They must be wondering why is this lady in a plain black dress is being selected to be on stage. Haha! Anyway, i won a bottle of wine as consolation…
