marks the day I decided to start Jerry formula milk. he has been having the runs since mid week and other than fresh breastmilk, everything else seemed to trigger the runs. it pains me to see him hungry since my supplies could barely meet his demand these days.
so I grit my teeth this morning and finally opened up the formula milk sample I have lying in the house for the longest time. he seems happy drinking it.
what a day to mark the occasion.
happy mother's day to me.. and all the mother's out there! 你们最棒!!
Hi there!
Thanks for popping by. I'm Cherie, a ftwm (full-time working mum) to 3 lovely kids (2 boys & a princess) and my motto in life is to BE HAPPY. Sure, life isn't all that smooth but it's the mentality that counts, no?
This blog documents my life. Or rather, snippets of my life that has passed me by. I love capturing life memories in the blog and being able to read back and laugh at myself (or anyone).
I love to eat (A LOT), travel and paint my own nails so the blog is mostly about that. Is that considered lifestyle? Of cos, the family is also very much an integral part of me so there would be loads of memories about the husband and my kids - Jerry (9yo), Jerome (7yo) and Leia (2.5yo) and everyone else that's close to me. I like documenting the kids' milestones, their growing up years, their achievements (and sometimes, mine), and my struggles and battles with motherhood. It sure ain't easy.
I love seeking out good food and travelling, is trigger-happy, love new gadgets, love exploring new places and strives to live life to the fullest. I aspire to travel the world as much as I can, to soak in the different sights across the various continents and visit all the Disneylands in the world (almost there!).
Have fun reading and do drop me a comment to say hi!
Love,
Cherie Lim

i guess so. anyway, he’s over a year old already! i cannot wait for the day where i dont need to get acquainted with the pump everyday!

i don’t know, i just thought its the right thing to do.. though i have to admit that the fatigue and lesser time for rest is a major killer.
how do one just stop? I have been thinking about it for a while but my mum is insisting that i continue.

You can do it slowly, like intro 1 FM per day and then increase the frequency. At the tier end, I only nurse to lull her to sleep and then I switched to a bottle of milk eventually. I find it quite easy to transit. and the body will auto-stop, since no demand liao.
I think after age of 1, BM is not as “useful” as during the first 6 mths, in terms of building immunity. But of course, some mothers continue on, as BM is still better than FM of cos. It really depends on individual.

im down to expressing twice a day now, but quite hard to adjust the schedule to any longer cos it will mean that i have to pump at odd hours to stretch it.
i know is no longer as nutritional, and the bonding bit dont even apply to me since i dont latch. maybe i should just see a doc to stop it.
