the trip.
i’m back in the office today and everyone’s first question was… “how’s the trip?”
i don’t really have much to say. Ho chi minh city wasn’t as interesting as i imagined it to be. and it’s even not so when there’s a wee bit of frustration every day.
totally not relaxing at all, but shall elaborate in a separate post. if anything that i have gotten out of the trip… it would be that the next gadget that i am getting myself better be a DSLR.
i had so much clicking fun!
Hmmm… my birthday’s coming up in a month. donations anyone?!
oh. there’s one angry thing. i spent 3 hrs pouring through the pictures and dragged them into my flickr uploader to load and the program had to die on me. SO ANGRY CAN?! hurmph!

any cheap recommendation for an amateur like me?
I was using the nikon one and sony one during the trip.. used the canon one previously also.. but i think i prefer the nikon one. couldn’t remember the model tho. have to ask my uncle for it.
my taiwan trip coming up in 10 days! Hmmm.. contemplating.

there are quite a lot of entry-level models floating around in the market.. like the nikon d60, canon eos 450d, etc..
if you want it cheap, can go for older models like the eos 400d or something..
i could lend u my 30d to fool around with, but the lens i stuck on it is nt the best ard..

i would be paranoid to use anyone’s camera for fear that i would spoil it, drop it, lose it. I am quite a klutz.

so how was the trip???
i thought the same thing on my trip – i needed a dslr to capture the nice old architecture and interesting sights.

sony has a semi-pro that ain’t too expensive. my friends got it and it works quite well. quality of a pro, but speed of a consumer.

any idea what is the model?
i used both a sony and a nikon when i was in vietnam. but i prefer the nikon somehow. the pictures looks better on the screen.. but i havent really checked the actual picture quality yet cos i took too many photos.. :/

my friend’s got the sony DSC-H3. not sure how good the manual mode is though.
