BounceOFF! Race with the Hubby!
So, I said I wanted to be a little healthier in 2015. I started the year rather well (or so I think), and I picked up blading again (after a few years hiatus thanks to child bearing), and I also dabbled my hands into rock-climbing lately. All these sporty activities of mine are rubbing off the husband and I am happy to declare that he is quite fit recently and clocking in at least a few runs a week. I’m rather impressed with his progress, more than so my own. The recent haze is making us very gloomy, and we have since stopped a lot of the out-door activities that…

Orange, oranges, and Sunkist!
I attended a cooking event some time back with Sunkist and Cooklyn Inc and almost forgot all about blogging about it till I saw some pictures earlier! It was such a fun event and I feel awful that I didn’t share about it till now! I’ll let you in on a secret, I have always wanted to attend a cooking session at Cooklyn Inc, because I have heard so much about them from all my friends, and I somehow never get the chance to do it! Before I attended this event, Sunkist oranges was just… Sunkist oranges! But what I didn’t know, was that there were different types of Sunkist Oranges!…

Photography Class with Canon at Fidgets! #myfamilywcanon
About a month ago, the team from Canon Singapore invited the family for a fun day at Fidgets. There were arts and craft classes, and baking classes arranged for the kids but both Jerry & Jerome were kinda too young to be left alone or attend the class so we simply let them loose in Fidgets and have them run around the indoor playground for some fun under our watchful eyes. The adults, we got to learn some photography tips from ex photojournalist, Ah Bob the Jiuhukia (read the end of the entry for the tips!). It was our first time in Fidgets, simply because it was so far away from us…

Cold Storage Kids Run 2014, Gardens by the Bay
We went for the Cold Storage Kids Run this year again! You can read about our last year’s experience but this year was really exciting because it was held at The Meadow, Gardens By the Bay! I signed both the husband and myself up with the kids, and we were really looking forward to all the fun. The husband went for the Singapura Finance Blue Sky Run with Jerry and I went for the S-26 Family Stroller Fun Run. I can’t wait till next year where we can all be in the same race! I didn’t manage to check out much of the activities at the event because we were…

Delifrance Joyeux Noël Christmas Party (Christmas Menu Review)
I have been so busy with living life lately and didnt realize that Christmas is slowly creeping up on us! Where has 2013 gone to honestly? Having 2 kids really change the ball game for me. Before i could say hi, it’s bye and gone! I haven’t been documenting as much as i would have like, but there were a couple of major changes for me this year – new baby, new job, new house so it’s been madness! There is something new coming up as well which i have been brewing and would very soon announce (watch this space) so i do hope you guys are still with…

Shape Stroller Fun Run with Capella Stroller (Cony S230T)
it’s been 6 years since i last did a shape run. i usually participate in the 5m or 10km race categories but this time round, i took part in the Shape 2.4km Stroller Fun Run. I had to wake the husband and the kids to pack them out of the house even before the sun is up! Barely 7am in the morning, and here we are, with bright smiles and happy faces. L-R: Lynn, myself, Irene & Mabel at the Shape Run 2013. The run was originally slated to be on 7 July but was postponed to 27 Oct due to the haze. the 3 months wait was quite a pain…

Sentosa Spooktacular 2013 – Date night with the husband.
I was super thrilled to receive the invitation for Sentosa Spooktacular this year. I am always game for an adventure or thrills but as a mum of 2 boys, i barely have much time for myself lest do anything remotely near like attending a spooky halloween event. but receiving the media invitation just gave me the perfect excuse to have a perfect date night with the husband and inject some thrills in our lives. or love. i know what you are thinking. how “romantic” right? at a scary, spooky setting?! Well, it definitely was.. cos the husband was holding my hands the entire time! (joking!!) our “couple bands” for the…

The Big B Event
The Big B Event. hello. I am on vacation right now, in sydney without the kids and having a whale of a time (it’s whale watching season here! pun fully intended!). and i am super thankful for my travel companions that are so understanding and thoughtful while travelling with me, a breastfeeding mum. here’s what i have been up to everyday while on vacation. expressing, storing and freezing up my ebm (expressed breast milk). i unabashedly cleared out a level of my guy friend’s freezer in his home to freeze my breast milk so that they dont go to waste. and i have grand plans of bringing them back to…
